Ok so I've driven past this place for years and never gave it a second thought. My buddies wanted to go here for lunch recently and I tagged along. I'm so glad I did. The place is unassuming and small. Â The TVs are tuned to the games and the food is awesome! Â The steak tips are fantastic as is the Buffalo chicken. There are daily specials as well. If you want good pub grub check out the goal post. You can't go wrong. This has become my go to place for Buffalo chicken in Quincy.
Review Source:Definitely a no frills bar. They've got the game on, Keno and lottery tickets, and a small menu (not really much for the vegetarians, but my boyfriend seemed happy with his burger). The bartender was nice, the beer was cold and inexpensive, and the food was pretty good -- I just had curry fries (yum) and some well-done but tasty onion rings (you know when you bite into them and sometimes the whole onion comes out? that is not a problem here, which was nice). White vinegar on the bar, just like I like it. I'll be back for more fries and cheap Bud, I'm sure.
Review Source:OK Dude who previously posted!!!!!!!!!  Maybe the bartender was a little put out by you!!!!  Have being going to this bar for a long time never had this experience....sorry if they couldn't accommodate your surfboard DUDE!!  I think this isn't your kind of bar but please don't bash it online! For the record everyone, its a neighborhood pub with very good pub grub!!  The steak tips are to die for!!  caesar salad is delicious  bring your appetite and its very friendly on your wallet!!  If you enjoy a good Guinness this is the place!!
Review Source:Goal Post is a perfect neighborhood bar. Affordable food and drink. Entertaining and friendly staff and clientele. Great place to meet up with friends to take in a game or just sit around and shoot the breeze. Not too loud. Not super crowded. If you dont like the specials on the white board, ask for a menu. Cant go wrong with the wingdings.
Review Source:Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon. Â We had been here several times before. Â The crowd was all older dudes, sausage fest, being very quiet with little interaction. Â Â The bartender "Tammy" ought to seek out some other form of employment as she broadcasted her extreme misery at being there to all.
There is a sign on the doors on cruise ships, facing the staff as they exit the back of the house and come out into the public areas.  It says,  "You are now going ONSTAGE".  And that they are.  I can swill Natty Lights at home for cheap.  If I venture out, it is for the experience.  If the one and only out front employee, in the middle of a rectangular bar, looks so extremely unhappy at being there, it does not make for an uplifting afternoon.
Perhaps we caught her on a bad day, I don't know.  I hope things brighten up for her.  I do know that I do not go on Yelp just to bash places or people, and this is what we saw this day.
Bud Light Draft, stale line.  It is the responsibility of the folks who run the place to know how long the drafts lines are and purge them.  I do not care if I would be given another if I mention it, I do not want the taste of stale beer in my mouth.  Many places have many taps and long lines from the basement, and never a stale sip will be served.
The menu the last few times we went here used to fill a large white board.  One of the amusing items usually on it was "One pork chop".  This time the board had very little on it.  Apparently this is because they have switched to printed menus, and the board is only for specials.  Maybe so, but noone offered us one, and noone was eating.
They do not have it going on here
( EDIT JULY 2012: Â The other two "one shot wonder" reviews are false, and this place Yelps artificially high because of it. Â Those reviews should be filtered and not count towards the Star score )
