  The pizza here is nasty.  I knew I was at the wrong place when I noticed he pulled out a frozen piece of bread.  If I wanted a frozen pie I would have gotten a pizza from Wal Mart.

  The seating is a bit odd with picnic tables everwhere but other than that the interior is comfortable.  They had a list of beers on tap but only 1 out six were actually available.  The pizza was good and came out relatively fast.  My only complaint was that the crust was pretty tasteless and harder than I prefer, not crunchy just hard.  I would go back but it's not at the top of my list.

  I love this place!  The pizza is always delicious, the music is great, and the staff is energetic.  Their approach is unorthodox, but you have to expect that with "Hippie" in the name!  You can't beat a good brick oven pizza!  My favorite is the Meathead pizza.  The Roadkill Tacos are really, really good.  You have to try the Cheesy Pesto Bread appetizer; you will thank me!  They have several bands play each week ranging from acoustic covers to reggae.  When someone isn't on stage, they usually have Janis Joplin, The Greatful Dead, or *insert similar era band here* jamming on the record player.  If you're looking for a good place to get some great food in Lake Charles, screw Chili's; head over to Happy Hippie!
