While I appreciate the demands associated with peak season but the Haye Loft (upstairs at Euphemia Haye) fails the price/value equation. Â A single waitress was on hand to service the bar area and deck and while she tried it was impossible to provide any reason level of attention. Â The Ceasar Salad was average quality but certainly not worth $17 (without any anchovy or extras). The pizza was good but we waited almost 45 minutes. Â Adding it up-1 salad, 1 small pizza and two glasses of wine cost almost $85.

I went here with my family. After the very long 10 mile drive down the stretch of Longboat Key which is legitimately just hotels and motels, we arrived at the restaurant. We waited at the opening of the Haye Loft, and after 15 minutes of trying to catch the hostess's attention, we had to wait another 10 minutes while she cleaned a table for us even though there were at least 5 already-cleared tables. We ate at the Haye Loft for both dinner and dessert hoping for a more casual time but they gave us the same menu as Euphemia Haye.
Due to the pricing of Euphemia Haye and my family not wanting to spend major amounts of money on an average evening, my family opted for the $13 pizza. Brought out in 5 minutes and with a 6" diameter, the pizzas were oily and not particularly delicious by any means.
Afterwards, we got dessert. The mass display of desserts is incredibly exaggerated, instead about 20 cakes/pies in a little window. The "tour"? A hostess pointing to each pie. Continuously, people were asking to try a different piece due to poor taste. No one in my family liked their choices. The whole ordeal is highly overrated.
I understand that there is very little to do or see in the area of Longboat Key but I suggest opting for ice cream in St. Armaud's Key over anything here.
