Haywoods on the Water

The restaurant food is pretty good although it's changed hands from Haywoods to The Riverfront. Summertime is the time to be here outside dining is great. The atmosphere inside is not as great, unless you want to have a wedding reception there as there is a huge dance floor with the tables off to the side. The waitress was friendly and the owner came out to greet us. The lobster bisque soup was very good. i had a cheesesteak which was very good too.

Wonderful location on the Susquehanna; go in good weather to sit on the deck.  Friendly service, great cheesesteaks, although not "traditional."  The chiabatta bread they use is  toasted and buttered - nice texture.  Meat is lean and flavorful.  I will be back!

The setting for this restaurant is on the banks of the Susquehanna river.  If you are boating on the river the restaurant has docks for you to tie up to while dinning.  There is outside seating on two decks for great summer dinning.  The food is good and plentiful.  The sandwiches are very large and very filling.  The wings are some of the best in the county.
