Hen House Restaurant & Gift Shop

I stopped in for breakfast after dropping hubby off at the airport for an early flight.  The food was good, the restaurant clean and the waitress pleasant.  The coffee was VERY good, the food cooked properly although I prefer the sage and thyme breakfast sausage to the St. Louis sausage (which has more of a bratwurst flavor) that the Hen House served, but it was cooked just the way I asked, as were the eggs and bacon.  I'm not a toast eater, but it was golden brown and generously buttered.

Stopped for breakfast while traveling, randomly based on their name. What a surprise...but the full parking lot was a good indicator. We had waffles and a full breakfast with eggs, sausage, bacon, hash browns, biscuits with gravy & coffee. Had the best hash browns I've had in many years & the best sausage gravy I've ever had! Great coffee and very good other items made this a breakfast favorite. We will definitely stop on next trip through.
