Have come here twice over the years. The first time was to escape a crazy rain storm in 2006. Had the Buffalo Burger and coffee on the cafe side. I remember it as being quite good.
More recently, the bar side was a stop on a motorcycle run. I have a grilled ham and cheese on sourdough. Very, very good. And fast.
The decor is very old school western. Divey, but clean.
Definitely going to stop in again next time I am down this way.
I took the scenic drive from Pueblo to Denver airport. Â I stopped in at this place for a late lunch. Â A Â buffalo burger on rye with onions and a malt set me back about $15. Â Not quite cheap but I think things get pricier up in the mountains.
The waitresses were friendly and clad in stained tee-shirts. Â Mountain people.
The burger was delicious and filling, I really liked the fries. Â The plate was greasy all over.
Later in the evening as I waited for my pick-up from San Francisco airport, the buffalo got its revenge. Â I can not recall any previous bathroom experience that was as violent. Â I suspect my colon was unprepared for the Rocky Mountain onions, but this really just deepens my memory of the place.
