Great Service....it's nice to take a your family to dine in and enjoy without feeling rushed. I love there spicy chicken sandwich! Worth your time.

If you're on the road from Tyler to Jacksonville and you're looking for an authentic Texas spot to pull into, you could do worse than Hondo & Shorty's. Honestly, I didn't know they specialized in burgers until I got inside. The sign outside says chicken fried steak, catfish, and more, and they do it all. Don't expect 5-star dining, expect a good east Texas hole-in-the-wall. Chicken fried steak, while not the best I've ever had, was respectable. Service was good and people were friendly. Worth a try.
