The business plan at this place must be more about keeping these ladies busy, than making money, and it shows. The pastries in the case tend to stay in the case for weeks at a time (freshness, anyone?), and you can actually see the dirt on the floor when you walk in. The women behind the counter are judgmental, sarcastic, and only sporadically friendly. I've noticed that this 'bakery'- cafe, has most of their rolls, bread and croissants delivered by truck form another bakery, and only make the cakes and pastries on the premises. Why not just call it a cafe? There are other coffe-pastry shops in town, and they both do it better.
Review Source:This place is wonderful! They make the best scones I have ever had, and all of the pastries are just great. They made us several wedding cakes - one three-tier cake and three giant cupcakes with this delicious chocolate layer around the outside of the frosting - that were moist and delicious. The frosting was perfect, the chocolate ganache filling between layers was a very nice touch.
Review Source:WOW.
On a rainy day in Boston, my father and i were attempting to take and pass all of our Community Boating tests on the Charles River, and he surprised me by bringing in a box of warm, amazing, moist deliciousness from Medfield, MA.
In this amazing box were still-warm, uber moist and berry filled scones.
And the best part, is they tasted every bit scone-ish. Not too sweet like a muffin, but they left out the whole hard, stale part.
These oversized scones were so tasty, I cannot wait to hit up the suburbs again for a second helping.
I'm big into scones in particular and I have never had one quite like this before.
WOW!
