Horrible, horrible, horrible, horrible customer service. Don't go there!!!  The food is average so it's not worth even trying. If you really want Chinese food, go down 1 mile to China Town.

Stay away from this place totally. The owner has no respect for customers.
He has a real bad attitude and acts like he is doing you a favor when you eat here.
I guess he does not realize that if it were not for customers this idiot would not be in business. How this guy stays in business is beyond me. These people that run this place have no people sense, common sense and no manners what so ever.
Find yourself another Chinese Restaurant. There are tons of them.

I love this place.  You can tell that the food is made fresh and YOU really get some Great bang for your buck.  If you're like me and can't get Chinese food without a couple crispy crunchy treats on the side (egg rolls, crab rangoon) then this is your place!  For $6.99 you get an entree and 3 sides.  It's a great deal.  I went there tonight and got the Mongolian Chicken with 1) soup 2) egg roll and 3) fried rice.
I also got an order of Crab Rangoon.  My total was just under $12.00
This fed me and my boyfriend well!!

The Mongolian Chicken was verrry tasty.  It's not as spicy as I would like, but next time I go I will request they spice it up a bit for me.
The Crab rangoon was probably the most disappointing because there is barely any filling in there, but it was crispy and fried to perfection.
I recommend this place to anyone looking for some great Quick Chinese food!

Best kept secret, tucked away in strip mall,.  This take out resturant does have 6-8 tables, it's a take out restaurant.  Food was fresh and delivery always hot.

Pricey for a chop-suey Chinese restaurant.... folks, this is not your Chinatown type of restaurant. It's a dive!!!

Food is loaded with MSG, so customers beware! I had never been here before, and will not be returning. I am allergic to MSG - the restaurant staff should ask people if they are sensitive to any foods/ingredients before using in their food. Of course, this dive of a place had the worst customer service as well. They wouldn't help you with that. They just want your money.

This review could easily have been 4 stars, except this place has, by far, the worst egg rolls I have ever tasted in my entire life. I mean, come on...you're a Chinese restaurant located in America. The number one go-to food you should make sure you do right is egg rolls! But these tasted like they were filled with broccoli paste, rather than with chopped cabbage. Almost amazing in their yuckiness. BUT, the one thing saving this review is their Singapore Style Noodles. Quite possibly the best I've had in Chicago, since moving here from LA. Super-fresh...hot...spicy...yummy!! So, I'm going to give them another try, keeping in mind to never, ever, EVER order the egg rolls again. Ever.

No more! They are about 7 blocks away. Their food is okay at times, but delivery time is always a lie and food is cold when you get it. This isn't a "one time" bad-apple review. We have ordered 4 times for delivery fairly recently. That's it. We're done. A "half hour" is 1.5 hours. Today's "hour" was 2.5 hours. There are 2 people who seem to work there: one cook who also delivers, and a rude woman who answers the phone and says, "We're busy, what do you want me to do about it" or that their delivery time is only a "guess." This city is too big to deal with this crap. Go somewhere else, there are plenty of other places.

Decent if not bad food, horiible service except one lady, how do you charge a quarter for hot sauce? Really? Like the others said go down a mile to China town and save your money and you will get way better food, 15 mins and waiting!

I wish I had read the reviews before ordering from this place.  I ordered the combo meal with sweet/sour shrimp, fried rice, lo-mein and egg roll.  The sweet/sour shrimp was more like sweet/sour batter.  The fried rice was just rice fried in some brown seasoning (maybe soy sauce?). It was just brown colored rice, no eggs, no onions, no peas, no carrots no nothing that you would expect in fried rice.  It should be called "rice colored/flavored with brown seasoning".  Same with the lo-mein; essentially just noodles in a brown gravy, no veggies in the sauce. Just flat flavor; BORING!  The egg roll was fresh-out-of-the-freezer-into-the-fryer good.  Save your $ and drive down the street to Chinatown.

My first truly bad Yelp review.

I've eaten here before and wasn't impressed. This week I needed to pick up something really fast, so I stopped by. The man and woman behind the counter were so incredibly rude to me that I decided not to order. When I asked questions, they alternated between not answering, telling me to not change the menu (even though the items were on the menu!), and just walking away while I spoke to them. And this was not a language issue-- I speak Chinese, and they were rude to me in that, too. I finally flat out said that I refused to give them money because they were so rude.

Instead, I went across the street to Whole Foods and got food off the hot food buffet and the sushi counter. It was delicious. I'd rather pay more for good food and not being treated like there is something wrong with me for asking questions! When people are so rude to people who are just trying to figure out what to order (and I'm a vegetarian and was just asking what options were vegetarian), then that restaurant shouldn't even stay in business.

This place is only a few blocks from Chinatown. If you want good Chinese and to be treated well-- go or order in from there, instead.

Horrible. 25 minutes late (1 hr. 25 mins total) I specifically asked for no mushrooms due to an allergy, and what did i get? Half the entree covered in mushrooms. The person on the phone did not even apologize.  They said they would re-do the entree and send within 30 mins; it arrived closer to an hour later. The food wasn't even good enough to get upset over. I will never go there again. Awful. Terrible.

I ate at Hong Kong Delight yesterday for the first time and was less then impressed. The food was very greasy. I mean greasy for even Chinese food. I ordered the beef broccoli, which was swimming in grease. The person I was dinning with ordered the orange chicken, which had a nice "real orange" taste. We both had ordered the combo meals, which include your choice of one entree and three sides. The side options where broccoli, soda, fried rice, egg roll or crab rangoon. I tried the very greasy egg roll. The one thing that was great about the place was the prices. The combo meals are only $6.99. I honestly don't see myself every eating here again, but if your hungover and broke then Hong Kong would be the place for you.

I happened to run into Hong Kong Delight because I was at the Roosevelt/Canal Fedex/Kinko's, and I was in the mood for some Chinese food.  I was pleasantly surprised - this little place was awesome and busy.  I ordered a lunch special, which was under $6, and it was so fresh and delicious.  A few days later, I ordered some dinner for delivery. Surprisingly, the food was still very good - you know, usually with delivery, I often have less expectation because of its traveling. We finished our dinner so satisfied and we really like this place now. I definitely recommend it!!

Wife and I got take out here last night.  6.99 dinner combos with a couple different options...

The combos come with plain fried rice and my wife wanted pork, the difference on the menu is 50 cents... so i asked, and was charged $2.29 to add pork?? WTF

    ok, heres the verdict

Egg Drop Soup : good flavor, small portion
    Crab Rangoon : ok
Egg Roll : Disgusting, like mush, no texture
Chicken Wings : good flavor, but they were so HUGE, its hard not to think about how many hormones those chickens were pumped with.

Fried Rice : Excellent, about the only thing i would come back for
    Lo-Mein : Standard, ok
Orange Chicken : abysmal....horrible, cant even describe it..

So this place easily has the best crab rangoon I've ever had. They are big and fried and actually filled with good stuff, unlike every other place i've been where they serve you half-assed crab rangoon! Oh yeah, the meal was good too. They only give you a certain amount of General tao's chicken or orange chicken, so you're up a creek that way...but its still tasty. In any event, the crab rangoon was amazing and is the reason I will rarely eat here, or i'll be 400lbs.

Food is alright. I come here about twice a month for lunch since I work real close. They do have large portions. Oh, and if you ask for water, make sure you ask for a cup for water otherwise the lady owner will yell at you and try charging you for a bottle.

I order from here all the time. Very consistent and I like it. I don't know why the other reviews were so bad. Must be a bad night. One of my favorites for Chinese.

    There's bad Chinese take out.

And then there's BAD Chinese takeout!

This is the latter unfortunatley.  A hefty portion to be sure, considering the price on it.  But I got 5 huge chunks of sweet and sour chicken that the breading was so soggy it just fell off.  The fried rice had too much soy sauce already on it.  Um, I can add my own with the bazillion packets you sent, thanks though.

The egg roll had a foul odor to it that made you not want to bite into it.  But I'm daring so I took the plunge.  Yep.  Still gross!

And then the person who ordered our food noticed we were missing our smoothies.  Called about it and was talked down to that we didn't look hard enough.  She pleasantly said back 'are you sure there isn't any way you accidentally left it out of the bag?'.  The answer was a simple 'nope'.  Well....okay then, bye!

It's sad b/c we've been trying to find a Chinese delivery in the South Loop that was affordable and was willing to drive onto Museum Campus to bring it to us.  Yang's went all wrong after a couple of years and now this place has let us down.

Back to the drawing board I suppose...

This is the worst food I have ever experienced out of my 27 years of living.  I ordered the orange chicken, the egg roll, lo mein, crab rangoon combo.  The orange chicken batter was soggy and sickly sweet.  The lo mein had no flavor.  The egg roll was beyond salty...and I don't know how you mess up crab rangoon, but Hong Kong Delight can!  ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!!!!  To suggest others to eat there would be CRUEL!

let's just say that the dinner for two we ordered didn't end up getting fully digested by either of us.  sick, sick, sick.

I work at Friendship...and I really can't compare our food to this...it's so close to China town, yet lacks the flavor china town has to offer....even flavor that Friendship has to offer. I ordered the lunch special, Mongolian beef with 1 crab rangoon, 1 egg drop soup and fried rice. First of all, my meat seemed chewy and a little gray in color. The sauce was decent but NOT fabulous. The crab rangoon was alright...too much cream cheese if you ask me and the egg drop soup had a hair floating around in it. The fried rice was bland and had a funny after taste. I found the service to be...less than mediocre, when our food was ready, the guy walked half way to our table and the girl said something to him in Chinese and he walked back to the counter, put our food down and called us up to get it...lol ummmm RUDE! Well, I guess that's all I really have to say about that place. I'm definitely not going back for the food, but my friend's coconut pineapple smoothie was tasty!

It's mostly a take out place, the kitchen is probably half the restaurant. There's no wait staff (reason for the 4 stars instead of 5); you go up to the counter and order your food. Cheap,  good american chinese food (5 stars for the food).  Much better than Yang's (too greasy) in my opinion and they're the only 2 near me.

3 stars. 1 for cheapness. 1 for amazing orange chicken. 1 for convience. -2 for nasty egg rolls and not too friendly staff.

We order food from here quite often from work.  Pretty decent Chinese food.  Their specials (lunch and dinner both the same price) are big, and they give you options such as noodles instead of rice, your choice of won ton or egg drop soup, or they will happily substitute the egg roll for a half order of crab Rangoon.  The delivery is always on time, and if you order more than $20, they will waive the delivery charge.  My personal favorite is their orange chicken with noodles.  And they have some pretty decent pot stickers as well.

The food is nice.  You can see them cook the food.  I used to go there a lot.  But, one time I had food catered from there.  The portion of food in the trays were very skimpy. So, I stopped going there for a while. There is no reason to be stingy with Chinese food.
