About a month ago, I was with a friend in the Seaport and we were heading to a concert at the Pavilion.  We decided to have dinner before the show, so Jerry Remy's was an easy choice.  It's basically a 5 minute walk from the Pavilion.  The place looks deceiving, because it's new-ish, has flat screen TVs all over the place, and has a cool atmosphere.  However, the service is just not anywhere it should be.  As mentioned by many other reviewers, the service just flat out sucks.  We waited and waited and waited for our waitress to take our order, and then to get us drinks, and then to get us our food.  Each time she came by, it felt like an eternity before she came back again.

I'm not even that picky when it comes to service; I'm actually extremely easy-going and was perfectly fine with the service, since it gave me more time to catch up with my friend.

What really put the nail in the coffin for them-- my friend and I were about to leave, and she had to go up to the bar to get her credit card.  As we stood by the bar waiting for the bartender, one of their snotty, teenage-looking waitresses walked up behind me, told me to move, and put her hand in my face.  Yes, I got "the hand"!!!  (Wasn't that like a 90's thing?)  Anyways, at first I had no clue what was going on, but then my friend realized I was a little too close to the space where waitresses pick up drink orders (not that this space was marked very clearly at all).  I was willing to let it go, but when my friend pointed out to me how rude the waitress was, she overheard us and gave another snotty look.  So, this little brat just killed it for me (wow, writing this review makes me feel sooo old :).  Jerry Remy's may want to hire some new waiting staff that actually have class; clearly it's lacking.

We were down in the Seaport area for Harpoon's Octoberfest on a Saturday afternoon.  After seeing a line of literally thousands, we decided to skip it, and stopped here for a late lunch and some drinks.  The location is great.  We were able to sit outside right next to the water.

They had a pretty extensive beer list, with a lot of local options, seasonals and your basic bud lights.  We ended up ordering a burger and a sandwich, and had no complaints either.  Not the best food we've ever eaten, but exactly what you would expect from a sports bar.

The service also was pretty good.  Food was served quickly with a smile.  Yes, it was a bit expensive, but no more than any other tourist destination on the water.
