John Weber's Restaurant

We use Yelp to find good local restaurants while traveling as we don't like oasis dining.  After searching for just under an hour (The Red Arrow in Fremont IN was closed for renovations) we selected John Weber's. The  first thing we noticed was the name change to Ryan's.  Second change must be the food quality. Probably one of the worst breakfasts. It could have been the waitress who didn't put the order in correctly and then disappeared. But really, don't stop here.

This place looks like a dump, and there is a headstone near the entrance... which seems ominous. However, their fried chicken is perfection, an their lemonade which I was brought by mistake is actually amazing. Apparently they have nightly themed buffets and it looked good, but I ordered off menu.

First really? Cheap and Yummy...

The only bad thing I can say about this place is it is only open till 9pm.

We make several trips here every year during geobash, but I wish it it was closer. The main draw is a buffet, but you can order off the menu and be happy too. Highlights are AUCE snow crab on Fridays for $15, prime rib $9.99 on Saturdays. Good place for breakfast too. Not a typical buffet where they use the cheapest stuff, everything is home made and quite yummy. Prime rib was awesome, good offering of med-rare. I also enjoyed the club (off the menu), which is made with turkey, bacon, AND ham - a lot of places omit the ham :(
