  Fresh, excellently fried fish and refreshingly tasty lemonade! My grandmother turned me on to this spot when I was in undergrad, if I'm passing through Manning and I'm hungry this is probably where I will stop if they're open!

  This is a tiny little fish market/restaurant. Expect it to smell like a fish market! The decor is definitely lacking- its dingy, needs repair, and very simple. They have 4-5 varieties of FRESH seafood daily, as well as some chicken, pork and beef. Selections are limited. My husband ordered the whiting combo (with fries as a side), as well as some fried shrimp. And I ordered the fillet bream combo with rice and gravy. Add in two drinks (super SWEET tea) and our total was only $17. Can't beat that! The seafood was all cornmeal fried- just right! Crispy, not greasy at all. The bream was mild and flaky, my hubbies meal had a stronger fish flavor,  complete with bones in the fish. This turned me off to his meal, but he loved it. He said it tasted as fresh as his deep sea fishing trips. Our meals were wonderful. Their tartar sauce was just plain packets- pretty gross really. But the fish didn't need sauce. Friendly service, very hospitable southern restaurant. I can't stress enough, this place doesn't look like much, we were a little scared on arrival. Don't expect good looks from this local dive, but it is tasty food for a great price.
