Judy's Highway Cafe

This place is not about the food.

Great hang-out place for Harley riders, it can be very crowded on the weekend. If you have to ask why, then you wouldn't understand.

The bikes are parked out front, right off the highway, and near the outdoor picnic tables. Have a beer and/or burger and check out the beautiful, artistic bikes.

After a 3-day diet of oatmeal, tuna and ramen, my boyfriend and I left our campsite at jdsp and ventured out for a burger. The sole review for judy's, and the fact that it was the closest to the park, lured us. Unfortunately, the kitchen was closed, but the ambiance of this place is fantastic. We would have stayed for a beer but we were starving and the nice German owner (?) recommended Dune Dog Cafe. A couple of customers having a beer outside assured us that Judy's does have an amazing burger but that the owner makes up his own schedule daily (how great is that). We're definitely going to try this place again next time we come up here to camp.

There is a sign behind the bar that says, "This is not Burger King. You don't get it your way. You take it my way or you don't get the damn thing.".............and I believe it.

The guy slinging burgers and other patrons spoke German. When we ordered a burger there was no options as far as how we wanted it cooked, topping, nothing. Then he says, "You want fries?" "....yeah" "no, too much food."  Then he went on to prepare the most amazing burgers with the strangest combination of seasonings and toppings we have ever had.
