La Bamba Mexican Bar & Grill

Food is good!  I actually really like the Mexican Burrito and my wife really likes the taco salad.  That's about where the good part ends.  The chips are mediocre at best and the salsa is typically lacking in consistency.  We've had it really good and really bad.  We do consistently have to ask for more salsa (when it's good)!  
Honestly, My biggest gripe is how weak they make their margaritas.  It's just ridiculous.  It's not a "special" if you have to drink 5 of them to have any effect.  Then it's just a plain rip off.  

So, if you are wondering why we keep going back, again the food is pretty good and it's the closest to my house.  There are other Mexican restaurants in the area that are not stingy with their Tequila so we base our decision on whether we are drinking or not.

Went there two more times on Mondays and were not let down. Keep it up La Bamba! Yum!

Well, let's begin by saying that we came in because we had a coupon for a buy one get one combination entree for free, with the purchase of two drinks.  We notified our server, Antonio, that we had this coupon.  The other person in my party ordered a Diet Coke, and I ordered one of the margaritas on special.  At the end of our meal, we were THEN notified that my margaritas, which I had 2, could not be counted as one of our purchased drinks, because it was a special.  REALLY?  If you plan to have this restriction, then you need to specify on your coupon that drink specials, cannot be considered one of the DRINK PURCHASES!  If I would've known this when I ordered my margarita at the beginning of my meal, I would've just ordered a coke, and saved myself the $2.50.  Shame on the server for not mentioning this to us, and shame on management and owners for not specifying this rule in their coupon.  You guys are running a poor establishment, if this is the way you are trying to attract business.  You definitely lost ours!

I also would like to mention, that this is one of the only Mexican restaurants I have visited in the area, that does not include rice and beans with a combination entree, but you still charge the same amount for your mediocre food.
