Just came here based on a recommendation while on vacation. I'm particular about my Italian food. I had the Zuppa di Pesce. Its one of my new favorite Italian dishes! Seafood lovers dream. Excellent broth with a deep flavor and light texture.   I also met the owner and chef Giancarlo. Great guy, he definitely takes pride in his work. Thanks Giancarlo for a great experience.   -Joseph

To start with, we ordered some Calamari ($11). It was good, but nothing special. The bread that everyone receives was excellent! Slices of Italian bread and these garlic knots that were garlicky and buttery and delicious.

Entrees, however, seemed to be luck of the draw. A friend had Ravioli all' Aragosta ($24) which he really enjoyed, I had a bite and you could really taste the lobster. Myself, I had the Penne Rosa ($16) which was OK. Huge portion, but I wasn't a big fan of the sauce it came with. I thought it was salty, but wasn't nearly as bad as another friend's Linguini del Mare ($19) which was wayyyy too salty. Disappointing because all the dishes looked good.

Didn't hear much either way for the Spaghetti ai Gamberi ($19) and Lasagna della Mamma ($15).

On the plus side, the waitresses seemed quite nice, bringing more bread for use in the Ravioli's sauce. It's a family, home-y kind of atmosphere, which was nice.

There was a mistake where they tried to charge us $15 for the Calamari ($30 total). The explanation was that the waitress thought it was the special they had sometimes (they didn't have it that night). Whatever, benefit of the doubt, just another reminder to always check the receipt.

Three stars for the roulette of pricey entree experiences but awesome bread. You might have better luck.

Good family owned spot where most diners are returning regulars.  Don't forget to BYOB!  Caesar salad was Delish-freshly shaved cheese (Reggiano?).  Lasagne alla Mama was excellent (just like Mama made!).  Pollo alla Portobello was a very generous portion and well prepared with melted muzarell, served with silky mashed potatoes and broccoli.  The whole wheat margherita pizza was large and made with fresh cheese.  It was thin and crispy just like in Italia.  Get there early before all the regulars crowd in.  Reasonable prices and friendly family service.
