Our first time here last night, we arrived around 5:30, only waited a minute to be seated. We ordered clam chowder and mozz sticks. Once the meal came, we know now to never order an app or soup. The dinner was plenty. My steak tips were great, nice flavor and the onion rings were awesome. The had Shipyard Pumpkin on tap for the season and I like places that serve Shipyard Pumpkin, so that was bonus points. I will return here for sure.
Review Source:What a dive!!! But what Delicious Steak Tips :) Â yum yum yum! Â Been here twice in the past 3 months. Â We came on a recommendation about the steak tips...they were probably the best ones i have ever had. Â
The place is filled with locals and a total dive, but they do know their booze and their meat. Â Don't be turned away by what the place looks like...stay, have a beer, and order the steak tips.
I attended a Bids and Bites benefit auction at Lynn Museum last Saturday night and the Lazy Dog contributed their maple pot roast! Â OMG, it was out of this world. Â I can't wait to go to the Lazy Dog and try out the rest of the menu. Â From the looks of these reviews, the steak tips are awesome as are many other things . . .
Hey, the place to go for some good food!!!
One of my favorite establishments in Lynn. Â I am partially glad it is not closer to my house, or I'd be here much more often.
The owner of the Lazy Dog owns other bars in Lynn and this is his prime gem. Â The employees here are great and the food is actually pretty dang good. Â
There are some things that can sour your experience here. Â
-Parking namely. Â On a Friday or Saturday night.....the rear parking lot fills up. Â Even the parking lot in the bank across the street meets capacity. Â This isn't the owner's fault. Â He does well with the area he has.
-Small bar area which means limited seating. Â Any big game night or trivia night.....if you don't arrive early enough.....enjoy standing.
I recommend this place to everyone. Â If I lived near by, I would be a regular. Â Instead, I'll have to settle with venturing in once in a while or at least once a week.
This is my fave local bar which also just happens to serve up the tastiest comfort/pub food around! Â I have never eaten one thing here that I didn't like! Â My absolute fave, is of course the steak tips! Â There is no place around that has them better!! Â And you can hold me to it!! Â lol! Â They are so tender, juicy and have an amazing marinade. Â I also love their honey mustard marinated grilled chicken. Â I always have a hard time choosing the sides though because they are all that good! Â Their steak fries are crispy on the outside and pototoey soft on the inside, grilled skewered veggies are nice and fresh, and love their sweet baked beans! Â Lately though, I've been getting their turkey melt! Â It's not the kind of meat you get at your local deli, but chunks of oven roasted turkey just like on Thanksgiving Day! Â lol! Â All its missing is the stuffing and cranberry, ha!
Review Source:Went here last night with my dad, who is a regular, and had to check it out for myself. Â I got the steak tips and they were melt-in-your-mouth good. Â I'm not kiddin, usually steak tips are a little chewy but these weren't and on top of that had great flavor and marinade. Â Also, got the sweet potato fries and those were banging. Â Dad got the hot dogs and I was like who orders hot dogs just go get a package of fenway franks. Â These were gigantopithacus hot dogs wrapped in cheese. Â The menu is small but what they do make, they make very well and if you're a big drinker they have a bunch of martinis and the bartenders are awesome (I didn't check the beer menu, sorry).
Basically the Lazy Dog is wicked good and worth a try. Â I will definitely go back, hopefully on trivia night.
This is a good place to go for a burger and fries, and they have the best pickles in the entire world. You can order a cup of them for a dollar! The sweet potato fries are also very tasty.
Their salads are ok, but they're nothing to write home about. Literally just some greens and meat on a plate; they really skimp on the veggies.
One thing I like about Lazy Dog is that they make their drinks in large tumblers, so you definitely get your money's worth if you're ordering a cocktail. The wine pours aren't the most generous though, they only fill it halfway. So definitely either go with beer or a mixed drink.
Overall, I find this place to be sort of a mixed bag, sometimes they're great and sometimes they're not. It depends on what you're ordering. But it's a nice atmosphere and the drinks are decently priced.
"The Dog" is a great bar for regulars. The bartenders are very friendly and treat you well while you are there. The food is delicious, definitely leans towards 'comfort food.' You won't find any creative dishes here.
I recommend the grilled cheese with bacon, side of baked beans.
Great place to be during the holidays as everyone seems to gather here and you can see lots of friends you may not see the rest of the year.
I have never actually come here for a good night of boozing, but I have tasted their food. My boyfriend wasn't in the mood to sit down and eat anywhere, so I called and ordered takeout from this place. We got some steak tips and coconut shrimp. They weren't actalluy taking take out orders at that time, but the man on the phone was SUPER nice and let me order anyway. Much to my surprise, the food was awesome!! I would definitely go back!
Review Source:Love it here! Â Good food, great drinks, cheap prices, trivia on Tuesday nights, friendly staff. Â It looks dumpy on the outside, but don't let the appearance fool you. Â Inside, the bar and decor is updated with quite a few flat screen TVs. Â Parking can be a bit tight, but it's well worth it.
Review Source:Might be a hidden gem. Â Well not really, but its not a bad place. Outside it looks like a typical dive bar. For years it was the old "Golden Circle" bar. About 3-4 years ago? new owners took it over & completely did over the inside. Â Outside it still looks a bit sketchy but its nice inside. Large bar surrounded by flat sceens. Smallish menu but the food is always good & always fresh. Daily specials. Â Parking in the rear is shared with other businesses here so it can be tight. Good location, Wyoma Square in Lynn's Ward one area. Easy to get in & easy to get out. If your driving by stop in. I'm not in the area like I use to be but if I was closer I hit this place up on a regular basis.
Review Source:Located right in Wyoma Square, Lynn. Â I come here with my friends often, and it's definitely a place for regulars. Â The bartenders are all so nice (especially Andy!)
Beers are cheap and they have a wide variety on tap.
They also have AWESOME grilled cheese & french fries.
YUM!!!!
And lotto machines
And it's great to watch a game. Â TV's galore. Â And it's awesome for people watching.
That is all.
