I went to the Liar's Club on a complete whim to check out a bar that has a fairly neat name - the music when we walked in?  "Who Let the Dogs Out."  This normally isn't an issue, except there literally was a dog running around inside!

This place has Kentucky Bourbon Ale on tap, which is awesome, but the ambiance and service left much to be desired.

Any place that has weird/eclectic arcade games is an instant hit with me.

We went, (Dan B., Mike W., myself & another friend,) on the Saturday night before Easter. I think the holiday sapped most of the clientele because I talked with regulars of the Liar's Club who claim the bar is always hopping.

However, such was not the case that night. Besides ourselves, the only other people in there was the bartender, 2 patrons and a dog.

That said, i really liked the relaxed feel of the Liar's Club. It would make for a really good neighborhood watering hole.

Among the many cool attributes: free pool, a really cool/cheap old time bowling game with really bowling balls and the *clink* *clink* *clink* noises and a non-digital interface.

Also, the drinks were really cheap. For a microbrew beer we were paying $3 a beer. That's not too shabby.

There was an incident where a regular pulled a knife on us, but he did it as a joke. The man was VERY sorry about the ordeal and was bummed that it was our first impression of the bar. Sorry dude, always going to be what I think of when I think of the Liar's Club.

However, the thing you have to ask yourself; is the story real or are we just living up to the bar's name?

I recommend you check it out.

Went to the Liars Club on a whim the other night, one of those we drove by it and decided to stop in for a drink experiences.  It was shockingly empty for a Saturday night but then again we weren't looking for anywhere too crazy so that worked out.  The place appears to be dog friendly, or at least it was on this night.

The beer selection was decent, I had a couple of beers that I had never heard of which is kind of uncommon for me.  The bourbon on the rocks a friend ordered was a very generous pour for the cost only $6 for a tumbler that was pretty well filled.

Free pool is always a hit for me and there was an amusing bowling game in the corner that I had never seen before.  The clientele were...interesting.  There was a rather unusual conversation about the best way to intimidate someone with a knife that was a little uncomfortable but ended with laughter instead of injury or tears.

I would consider coming here again but it certainly hasn't become a regular spot.
