This place is a nice homey family restaurant however since I've discovered the best breakfast place in the world for the best price - every other place fails in comparison.

I ordered the exact same thing that I order at Emmys - Gyro omelete with hash browns and pancakes. At Lindos the omelete was dry, the hash browns were burnt, and the pancakes were small. This isn't my first experience at this restaurant - I've had better that this restaurant.

I've been to Lindos twice now while on family vacations to Michigan City.  It could be a restaurant that appears on Gordon Ramsay's "Kitchen Nightmares" based on the decor and huge menu size.  Stick to things that are served frequently like grilled cheese and spaghetti.  Avoid the turkey burger which tasted as if it had been in their freezer for about two years. The side salad is lacking with one tomato and all iceberg lettuce, but it's is an easy place to take kids.  The rice pudding with whipped cream and cinnamon is very good.

My fiance and I eat here nearly every Sunday morning for breakfast (and sometimes another meal during the week). I love their pancakes, eggs, potato pancakes, crepes, skillets, just about most of their breakfast foods. Prices are pretty reasonable, too! They frequently host parties of six or more, although couples and smaller families usually have a very short wait. The waiters and waitresses are all very friendly, and Lindo's is owned by a local family. If you're from town or out of town, GO!

Barbara our waitress was just great! She answered all of our questions about the menu perfectly. And the food was fresh and full of flavor. Thank you Barbara! Many lunch specials to choose from for just 7.99! Only one suggestion for the Manager ~ Bathrooms truly need some updating, they are run down and give you the feeling they are dirty. Funny thing is the Restaurant  seems to be newly updated and decorated nicely.

Lindo's was recommended to us by the people who we rented a house for a weekend vacay. We had 11 adults and 4 young children - in terms of space it wasn't an issue to seat all of us.
The food however was not good. The eggs in the Eggs Benedict was hardboiled, pancakes were dark brown and dense, hash browns were burnt, denver omelette was dry and flavorless, sausage links were shriveled and unappetizing... just not a good choice for breakfast.  After leaving and spotting an IHOP just down the street, I wished we went there instead.

I mostly stop by Lindo's for brunch, but sometimes I make a point to go on a Sunday for their creamy chicken noodle soup. I love that soup! I often crave it! They almost always have it on Sundays, but possibly others days too. It's pretty basic, but very well done. I also enjoy the french toast!

Paid $9 for a basic steak sandwich that came with nothing, not even fries and had maybe 5 very small pieces of meat on it.  A total waste. Guess they need to pay for the remodeling.

Lindo's is an iconic diner for the Michigan City area, right on 421, Franklin Street, the main drag.  Classic fare (fabulous French toast) and a great pit stop for local color.
