Would never dine there.  The older women, hostess,  was extremely rude and unwelcoming.  She proceeded to ignore us while trying to get a seat, so we left.  Went to another italian restaurant in Brighton Beach and had a great meal.  Plus, service and atmosphere were wonderful at this other restaurant.

I've been for dinner 3 times and all were excellent.  The chef is the real deal.  The duck with grapes special I had was as good as I've had in Michelin 2 or 3 starred restaurants.  Reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is the server on 2 occasions was not up to five stars.  On one occasion they were.

My mother and I enjoyed an excellent dinner here. The chef's specialty reputedly is seafood and he does not disappoint. My calamari appetizer and fish entree were both excellent.

Our desserts were perfectly accompanied by good cappuccino, hard to find on LBI in my experience.

Our server was charming and unobtrusive, and the chef visited to check on our satisfaction.

As many island eateries, this is BYOB. They do take credit cards however, making the experience a tad more convenient.

    We will return!

Food was Okay but service was terrible.....

Went to lunch after some shopping with my 10 year old daughter on her Birthday...Had a recommendation for a local store that the food was good.

When we entered there were no other customers ordering or at the counter, there was one table getting up of 6 and two tables of 6 that were not bussed and covered in dishes and glasses.  One table still has chair sitting upside down as if they were not open??.. I noticed that the table seated had wine so I asked the waiter if they carried wine he said " no its BYOB" so I asked if there was wine store nearby and he said "I don't know I don't drink" in a rude tone...I looked out the window and saw one across the street...  My husband ordered one sandwich and 2 orders of penne vodka at 1:50pm ..  Our sandwiches came out in 5-8 minutes as did the chicken parm and pasta of our guests eating with us...  At 1:20 I went and asked where the pasta was for my 2 kids ( it had now been 30 minutes)....by then we had all finished....the women behind the counter said nothing just gave me a nod and gestured that it would be out.. I waiting another 10 minutes and my husband went up and they said it was coming (now 40 minutes) ... again we waited...10 minutes later my 19 year old niece went up (now 50 minutes)  and as she did they handed her one plate and the waitress brought the other...

When she go to the table I asked what had happened  (I suggested may be someone forgot to put the order in)..She did not hesitate to go and get the owner and bring him to the table...As I tried to discuss this with him, he repeated told me it takes 50 minutes to cook pasta ( never in My life has it taken 50 minutes to cook pasta, fresh, boxed etc)... He was dismissive and rude..

The pasta was very average the sauce was soupy and did not have a vodka pasta sauce flavor.  It was also maybe 1 cup of pasta on each plate and was 13.00 a serving...

I have not problems when things go wrong and orders get missed, happen 2 nights prior at a different place, but I do have a problem when staff and more importantly owners do not accept responsibility and make their customers satisfied.  If he had been honest it would not have been a problem.  It is not okay to be rude and dishonest...

He never offered to by us our sodas or offer anything to make the situation more tolerable..

It was my daughters 10th birthday lunch and was very disappointing..

I can't give anymore than three stars for a couple of reasons but the primary one being that it's literally been years... YEARS since I've had anything from them.

My family and I used to vacation in a rental house down on 11th Street and the first year Little Bite opened we had to check it out (my parents having been born and raised in North Jersey knew what hoagies were about and proceeded to then educate me on it as well as my mother being a bit Italian thought like most Italians that she knew best and that "she'd be the judge of that!")  So off we went and boy was it great!  Similar to a lot of bakery's, deli's and sub shops down there they put their sandwiches on a sesame seed roll and it's the real deal.

    Yet I digress....

All this joy and rapture was to be short-lived as from what I recall they changed ownership at some point during our long tenure of vacationing down on 11th St.  I don't know if it stayed in the family (they kept the same name) or what but according to my folks things were just not the same however I have no solid recollection of this so three stars right smack in the middle will have to suffice until I can get down there to check it out again!

I love a good, authentic Italian Deli, Pizzeria and quaint little restaurant wrapped into one, but I don't care for lousy, poor service at the takeout counter.  The food here is delicious, particularly the pizza, but I was completely unimpressed with the service.  I think next year we'll give it another shot, and hopefully have a better experience.

Run by gourmet chef Francis Pons, the food is a large cut above most options on LBI. Bread for sandwiches is brought in from NY every morning and sandwiches are excellent. He really knows his cheese and it shows with the pizza. I picked up several pizzas when friends w/ kids were visiting. The crust and ingredients are superb (not the doughy goopy pizza that comes from the pre-frozen alternatives). The white pie had dollops of goat cheese, and the pepperoni is wide, thin sliced, top notch charcuterie.

They -finally- added a bistro on the side, BYO, with a stunning looking menu, cute tables with linen tablecloths in a relaxed atmosphere. I would think reservations in the summer would be a good idea.

If you are strolling to the beach in Surf City, you are sure to pass this small deli/bakery store that may not look like much, but contains some of the most authentic and delicious Italian food around. Grabbing an Italian hoagie to take to the beach, I was blown away at how tasty it was, loaded with meat and tasting better than any sandwich I have had in a while! This place also contains frozen raviolis and stuffed shells, homemade sauce and sausages plus other sandwiches and Italian speciality items. It is located right on the main strip in Surf City and it very small but worth the stop as it sits a block from the main beaches.
