Longshots Sports Bar

Even without the great events in the Backroom, Longshots impressed me from the first time I sat down at the bar for a few pints. I was personally impressed with their outstanding selection of craft beer, not many places in the area can offer things like Troegs and Victory from the draught. That alone won them a lot of cool points in my book. The atmosphere will definitely please the sports fan but doesn't pander, and not being a big sports guy myself - still felt very comfortable. The staff was ultra accommodating and friendly, I didn't have to wait more than a few seconds before my pint was refilled. This place is a definitely a shining gem in the area and I know that I'll be back again soon.

Sadly this place has gone downhill and is no better than the rest of the bars around, average and ordinary.  Some of the best service staff are no longer there, its not a surprise with the quality on the way down.  Last time I was there I had an empty beer mug sitting waiting for a refill for about 25 minutes and they were not even busy, not acceptable. I shouldnt have to lean over the bar and yell hey to get a beer refill.

They used to have a great tuesday night special menu with quality burgers with many toppings, steaks, etc.  The menu has been trimmed down to basicly nothing of value, and the portions and quality have gone down as well.  Why am I out at a bar paying for a cheeseburger which i could make myself at home, when it doesnt even extend to the end of the bun and is about as thick as a premade frozen shoprite patty??  

Heres a tip management, you dont get more money by charging more for less.

This place is horrible.  Service was slow, food is better at McDonalds and it is dead on a Friday night.  
Avoid this place at all costs
