Lucharito's

Lucharito's is located on the west side of Main just south of Front St and a couple of doors north of the dock. It's a fun little place with a bar and a small menu of Mexican fare consisting of several appetizer's, some Taco's, Burrito's, Nacho's and a few sides.

We had the Picadillo Burrito's which were made with spiced ground beef, rice, beans, avocado and sour cream served with nachos and a bit of red cabbage on the side. These were large, nicely presented and exceptionally good - easily the best  I ever had.

The service was also quite good and the tab was $24 for the two Burrito's and four soft drinks. That's not bad for the area and such a pleasant experience.

Cupcakes to margaritas. Quite a transition, but one that was very well executed. The menu is fresh and lively, the servers/bartenders are wonderful, and of course the atmosphere is excellent. Colorful, welcoming, delicious, all with fairly reasonable prices. The shrimp soft tacos are the best if you ask me. (And from what I've heard, they just got their liquor license, so drink up!) Awesome.

Lucharito's is a great little spot.

The vibe and decor is super cool, and the service was laid back but attentive. We started with the chips which come with salsa, guac, and WARM CHEESE SAUCE. It was amazing. Slight gripe would be that the salsa needs a bit more salt, IMO. Then my wife and I each had a burrito bowl, which is basically a burrito, minus the tortilla, and served in a bowl. They were fresh, flavorful, and totally hit the spot. The portions were very generous.

I highly recommend this spot for lunch but I'm sure it's got a great evening/bar scene too.
