This review is for the bar.
I love the French Melt. It's currently #3 on my all-time greatest sandwiches playlist. There are plenty of beers on draft. Try the local brew called Ruby Mountain Amber Angel Creek.
The bartender there is Andrew, the Steelers fan, and he makes a mean John Daly.
Denise is the go to waitress... if she is not in GO TO THE BAR. The service and wait are UNBEARABLE 90% of the time when she is gone. True Story.
This is a great establishment,
Went here for lunch while in Elko for business. The food was ok and so was the service. Not really anything special as far as Im concerned. Decor was eh, however the menu had some whimsy. Don't think i would go back if i was back in Elko. I would probably just go to Denny's bc its right near this place.
Review Source:Well let's just say that Hawaiian Girls night did not go well. Â Apparently I did not see the 205 lb minimum for the girls who attended. Â Also, girl is defined all the way up to 67. Â
The only upside, and I mean only, is that there is a surprisingly good selection of beer. Â Smithwicks, Arrogant Bastard and Harp here at the headwaters of the Humboldt? Â Why yes. Â However, the best way to enjoy is to order and shut your eyes so you do not see the other customers. Â Snobbish but true.
We wound up here with a free breakfast coupon from the nearby Shilo Inn and found our low expectations to be easily exceeded. The free breakfast was bigger than expected and the pricing on the non-free items was very reasonable. Friendly service with decent food and an interesting ambiance. Definitely more than I expected, to be honest.
Review Source:This place hosts a bit of a younger Elko crowd. Â The bar is pretty big, and it's a nice place to watch sports. Â I was here last Friday for their "Cleavage For A Cause" contest... lots of big boobies!! Â Hehe
I like the high tables and stools everywhere!
The bar is basically separated from the restaurant when you walk in, which is perfect for families and stuff.
Cool spot if you catch yourself looking for life in Elko.
Stopping in Elko, NV, stop at Matties for a great beer and bacon cheeseburger. The staff are really nice and there is a really good atmosphere.
Ok, so we stopped in Elko on the way back home as well and enjoyed another dinner at Matties. Â It was kinda humorous to see that home coming dresses have not changed in 20 years.. :)
