Mavericks Country Rock

Decent place, reminds me of Dallas Night Club off of Burnet Rd. Always a cover charge so that is somewhat of a deterrent for me. To many good places to get a drink in the Austin area to have to pay to simply enter.

The fiancée and I come here every now and then to have a few drinks and relax. We are usually there during HH and its usually pretty chill. I hear it gets poppin on Saturdays. The HH prices are great, One sat. we started out here but went across the street (drinks were cheaper but not by much but were a little stronger than at Mavericks)
Ive never had any issues with racism here. Or issues at the door. Once we did have a group of guys that wanted to dance and were trying to convince my fiancée to convince me to dance with them. One of them intervened and said, no you dance with you're fiancée, you dance with the one you came with just to shut them up. (and I liked that)  still had a great night and loved the music.
Most times its just auto music playing. Only once I have I seen the DJ there, but I asked him to play a song and within minutes it was playing. LOVE that.
I will be back.. after the wedding LOL. (when I can drink again)

Place deserves zero stars!! Door guy is a racist prick and even people in line said it was BS that he didn't let my fiance in because according to him, his shorts were too baggy yet let another guy (white) with the same shorts right in. Total crap! Never spending my money here!
