Had a great time visiting McCauley's tonight. Â Our first time and Laura our server was great. Â Had the 1/2 order of quesidillas and a pizza. Â Food was really good. Â Price was great. Â Service was excellent. Â Would have given 5 stars, but no Irish beers on tap.
We will be going back for Trivia night on Wednesday's.
great local bar.  above average food (great pizza) and strong drinks.  there are normally enough bartenders (the good ones too, that have seen it all) working that you don't have to ask for another drink.  most everyone knows each other, but as an outsider, they treat you well.  don't trust the open sign and enter on the far right door.  once in, the place is pretty big.  the bar is a large oval in the center, while there are high tables, booths, and communal high tables that can seat a large party of a few parties on the closet side  on the opposite side are the pool tables, more high tables, & dartboards (real ones, not the auto-score ones).  decent TVs along the perimeter, but only one in the center of the bar.  they could definitely use a couple more.  bottom line, very good food, great bartenders, a good crowd, & most importantly strong drinks.

Try the pizza first but everything else is great. Â Food and drinks are super cheap. Â Crowd probably averages early 40s and place is packed with dinner crowd right after work
Review Source:Okay, I don't know about the neighborhood bar aspect to this place. It comes across as "Everybar", the neighborhood place where you can drop a couple bucks in the jukebox, punch some Skynard, and toss a game of electronic darts that will make the resident cougar swoon.
What I CAN tell you about McCauley's Pub is that I come here for lunch on occasion and the place fills up. Packed tight. And the demographic is across the board. Blue collar guys, business women, college kids, you name it.
The food is actually pretty darn surprisingly decent!
The lunch specials are actually downright tasty! Down home cooking entree's like country fried steak with green beans on the side. Stick to your ribs country food that is completely out of character for what is otherwise a neighborhood dive bar.
Again, the latest I've ever been in the place might be 1:30 pm, so I can't even remotely speak to the evening scene. Probably not my kind of place. A little rough around the edges. I hum some Garth Brooks, "I've got friends in low places...", as I head towards the door.
But for lunch? Hey, what the heck, right? Sometimes you find those surprising diamonds in the rough.
