It's hard to review a sub place. This is just one of the many that I can't tell the difference between, which isn't a bad thing. It's good, just doesn't have any of the WOW factor. It's consistent and reliable. Cash only, which is a pain in the butt nowadays. I've had a couple different subs from here and they were all good, quick, and fairly priced. There is some seating here, but I think most people go for carryout. Located in the heart of little Merrimac and one of the few options in that central area. I come here a few times a month and never dislike it, so that's a success in my eyes!
Review Source:Grabbed a ham and cheese sub on the way through town last night, and I totally forgot that they used the worst quality ham possible on their subs. Are we really using square boiled ham in a sub? Come on. I am not looking for a fresh spiral cut ham, but still.
Their pizza isn't bad, and the prices are right. It's the only thing stopping me from giving it 1 star. Its ok in a pinch, but would never seek it out.
Moving to Amesbury a few years back I was looking for a new pizza/ sub shop. My sister turned me on to this place as she has gone there for years. The roast beef subs(my personal fav) is one of the best in the area. The pizza is pretty good too. To bad they didnt deliver to this area but I dont mind driving the 10-15 mins to get there for what I know will be good food.
Next time your in the mood for a sub or a pizza take a ride to Merrimac, you wont be disappointed
Merrimac House of Pizza's pizza is greasy goodness. As good as grease pizza gets, in my opinion. The subs are so-so (I grew up on their steak and cheese, but looking back on it I'm not sure why I liked it so much), but everything's cheap and fairly big. Toppings are pretty generous, at least with vegetables (I can't remember ever getting meat on their pizza).
I'm upping them a point for being pretty much the only food place in downtown Merrimac for most of my childhood.
