If you're looking for a burger and a beer this is your place.  Good selection of burgers always cooked to order.  Ask for the teriyaki and sesame wings, not always on the menu.  Not a fancy place but good service and good food. Perfect spot when you don't feel like going out to the chain restaurants.

Worst restaurant experience of my life. Food was awful. Service was awful. Yuck times a million.
I realize "irish food" is not suppose to be tasty. But at least try to make it someone good. I had ham, with bangors and mashed potatoes. The ham was dry, to the point where I thought my knife was going to break. The mashed potatoes were served lunchroom/cafeteria style (like with an ice cream scooper)... The bangers were the only good thing...

Unless you just come here for beer, dont bother.. yuck.

I've been frequently and never had a bad meal.  We've dined in and had take-out, all good.  They have comfy booths, great service, love the onion rings, and I never feel rushed.  It's our go-to place when we want to eat out.

Mickey Cassidy's is your typical townie Irish pub (Guinness signs, dark wood paneling). Staff is friendly, I actually had a conversation with the bartender, which you don't get in Somerville! TVs play the Pats/Sox/Bruins games. Food is good too and very reasonably priced. It gets packed around 7 or later. I prefer sitting at the bar.

I'm glad my regular is such a great, friendly place, and not a dive bar.

Came here for lunch yesterday. We sat at a mostly empty bar and the batman was obliging enough to put the soccer game on the TV at our request. The place is clean, a typical bar set with tables and booths in dark wood. The food arrived promptly. I had the 'Manchester United Mac & Cheese', which was topped off nicely with crispy breadcrumbs. Best mac & cheese I have had in a long time, if not a little too creamy. I had this with an extremely good mudslide - I know - I went the whole hog! The other half had the full Irish breakfast with a Guinness and he was very happy with that. Somehow I think we'll be back.

How are there not more reviews of this place?!

Good Irish place with a warm cozy atmosphere.  The food tastes very fresh and service is prompt.  With a polite wait staff and reasonable prices you'll bet I will be back.

I hear they have live music and can't wait to go during one of those nights :)

The dining area is separated from the bar and they also have a large function room.  I'd recommend this place for a nice night out with a loved one.  It isn't fancy, but has a slightly more romantic feel.  Might be due to the dark wood and low lighting  though.

The menu offers your typical Irish dishes, burgers and sandwiches, and even Italian plates.

This place is a great time. You will find me there either Thursday, Friday or Saturday night.   It's the best when they have Irish performers come by, but their open mic nights bring in some pretty talented not-so-Irish performers as well. Drinks are kind of pricey but who's isn't now a days?  I would say Thurday or Saturday nights are the best nights to check out Mickey's. Its nice inside so you won't get a wiff of old stale beer when you first walk in even if theres a million people inside. You know its a good place because the owner Mickey normally tends the bar so he actually sees the people! Oh, and the food is good there too. I would advise to at least give it a check out.
