I travel a lot which gives me the chance to try some really great cuisine all over the U.S. and the world. Miller's will always be in my top 3 of favorite restaurants. My grandmother grew up in Baltic so we would visit family when I was younger.
No frills, reliable service, and I get the same thing every single time. 3 piece broasted chicken, mashed potatoes, and a double order of noodles. I eat one roll before my dinner comes and save one piece of chicken for the next day's lunch. The pumpkin pie is wonderful, almost a custard base so it has basically three slightly different textures in one piece of pie. It's wonderful.
This is the type of place you expect good, homestyle cooking. The most authentic Amish food you will ever taste, it saddens me that the tourists buy into the Der Dutchman and Dutch Valley "authentic" lie.
Wonderful, simple, and surprisingly delicious! Â Up until now, I always thought chicken was chicken, and while it could be done wrong, only a sauce could make a chicken dish good. Â This was the best tasting chicken I have ever had!
I would drive way out of the way to eat this chicken again.
Yummy! Â This is one of the last trips I took with my mom before she passed away. Â We went down to Amish country because this is where she grew up, this is the food she knew, and this is what she wanted.
It was AWESOME!!!! Â The food is traditional and to die for. Â The pie is amazing. Â The ice cream on top of the pie is even better. Â
It's nothing fancy, and it doesn't need to be. Â The food speaks for itself. Â Like the other reviewer said, it's not touristy, or fake Amish crap. Â This stuff is the real freakin deal!
