Molto Bene Italian American Kitchen

I went there last night for drinks with friends. I ended up eating dinner since we arrived on the late side. The menu is quite appealing but our waiter was completely clueless. I ordered the Penne with chicken sausage and broccoli rabe. It comes with either a house salad or cesar. I ordered the cesar. The waiter brings me a sad looking plate of limp romaine lettuce drowned in dressing and 2 croutons. Two bites in I discover a dead spider, coated in salad dressing on the back of one of the romaine pieces. I point this out to the water who takes off with my plate into the kitchen and doesn't return. No apology, no offer to replace the salad. He completely ignored it. The rest of the evening he'd take one drink order and forget the rest of the table, drinks took upwards of 20 minutes to get.  A friend of ours joined us later and said she'd been there a few weeks earlier. She ordered the stuffed shrimp which is a fairly expensive meal. It was brought to her while the shrimp was still translucent and raw. She had the same waiter, who only offered to have them reheat the shrimp despite the raw shellfish contaminating the rest of the plate. She refuses and sends the plate back. The waiter had the nerve to charge her for a raw plate of shrimp she didn't even eat. Complaints to the manager/owner weren't well received and took a bit of arguing to have it removed from the bill.  

While their patio is nice, I wont be eating there again.

Went out for dinner last night to Molto Bene with 2 friends. I will never go back again. I had a chicken ceasar salad and that was good but then again how can you mess up a salad? My friend Sharon had a lobster roll and she didn't like it. Darlene had the lobster bake and she said it was OK. We got up to smoke in the nearby smoking area(not me I just tagged along) and left our things on the table. Sharon noticed workers over at our table who can clearly see we are smoking. They cleared everything off our table even Darlene's food! When we asked the waiter, he said she (meaning the 15 year old busgirl) thought you were done because she said you didn't like the lobster bake. We said we never said we didn't like it, but she cleared all our drinks too! We could have walked out without paying and no one would have known. The waiter then said well what do you want me to do for you? Darlene still had clams, mussels, and half of her lobster left, so she said what do you think you should do? He went to the manager and they gave her half off her meal. We then ordered cappuccinos, and when they came, they were ice cold! Now being waitresses for such a long time Sharon and I  decided to go in and talk to the manager. We went in and asked for the manager and the owner came out. We explained everything and he was very rude. He said he sells a certain amount of pounds of lobster and no one has ever complained but us. We said to him we were both waitresses and thought he should know what was going on. He basically said he took $10 off so what else did we want him to do. Then he said the girl is only 15 and that our waiter was new and didn't know how to make cappuccinos. We told him our waiter said he didn't make them! Now after we were trying to be nice and this guy was being so rude to us, Sharon finally said if the girl doesn't know what she is doing at 15 then maybe you should get rid of her. He then said well maybe this place isn't meant for you! When we went back to the table and told Darlene what happened, she said our waiter has been there awhile because he was the waiter for her daughters party!  Believe me we weren't looking for anything, all we wanted was Darlene's food back and we were satisfied with him taking ten dollars off, but when the cappuccinos came out ice cold that was the last straw.  We thought the owner would want to know and be more apologetic but instead he was rude and really didn't give a damn about what happened. If it was me and my bus girl or boy took someones food I would apologize and either discount the meal or tell the chef to make her some more. I would never say what would you like me to do for you? Not once did the anyone apologize for the mistake.  I understand mistakes happen, but as an owner and an employee you would want to make it right with the customer so they will come back.   I will never go there again and I will be telling ALL my friends about our experience

Incredibly good apizza!!! How many stars can I give the pies at this place?
I am an apizza snob and would rather go hungry than put a bad piece of apizza in my mouth. This is one of the Top 3 thin-crust apizzas I have ever had, and I've had hundreds all over the Northeast!
The apizza crust was crunchy-thin without being burnt, the slice held up the toppings without folding - yet had the perfect amount of chewiness.  All the ingredients were top-shelf.  You could taste that they use the correct apizza flour and yeast in the dough and whole-milk cheeses that sat perfectly under the toppings. No part-skim, plastic-looking cheese on these pies! The toppings were sooo good right down to superb chunks of thick-cut bacon, fresh vegetables & garlic and perfect sausage. Best of all, THE PRICE WAS REASONABLE.
Its also a great place for dinner with friends and looks like an awesome place just to hang out, especially in the warm-weather months.
They have  a large outdoor tent, a couple of bars and live music. The lobster bake ($19.95 until they run out) is another best-of experience here, but that would take a whole other review.
Oh, did I mention that I liked this apizza? GO THERE! TONIGHT!
