I love moreys. It's the best bar in the area. Paul the owner, Ben, and Taylor are awesome to be around. Good prices, and excellent crowds. Karaoke on Fridays is really nice too. It's a second home.

Great find in Maynard.  Good Irish music last night.  Cold beers, fun crowd, owner/bartender was spot on pouring Guinness!  If they added some lights or signage outside, it would definitely make it more inviting.  We will be back!

Yes, the exterior is confusing, but don't let that deter you. You'll be missing out -- don't judge a book by its cover. It's a tavern, and it serves that purpose. The owner is often behind the bar and the other bartenders are fun and make it worthwhile. Quick service, fun people, and fun events.

Wednesday theme nights look like a blast.
Friday karaoke nights are packed after 11.

I think there is food, but there is no menu visible.

Their web site is a huge Flash beast that's completely unnecessary.  It also takes forever to load even on a fast connection.

As for the place itself, it's a pub.  If they have food, it's not obvious and there are no menus to be seen or any indication anywhere that food is available.  A previous reviewer mentioned that their front is intimidating and I have to agree.  They should move that Guinness sign to the front and lose the Coors and Bud signs to show a bit of class.  A nice wooden door and some windows with small panes would fit the interior more than the current exterior.

The place looks very sketchy from the outside, so we actually avoided going there for years.  However, having now been inside, it's not nearly as bad as we thought.  We'll likely return.

for Maynard, its a great little bar. I'd say it fills the place of the old Sit'n Bull. Good live music and nice homey feel inside. Great beers and yup, fresh (as far as America goes) Guinness, poured right.

They lose one star though, because there is a desperate need to refresh the front of the building. The door is downright intimidating, taking you back to the times when this was Stretches Tavern. Old, sketchy, and you don't know if its a push or pull, or if you'll get beaten down for walking in.  Fortunately now that its Morey's, you won't. But seriously, they have got to refresh that storefront!!

Morey's Tavern is a handsome, clean and fresh Irish pub with simple pub food (it's a bar, not a restaurant), fresh Guinness on tap, sports on the plasma TV's and great local (often Irish) entertainment.  Kid-friendly, too.
