Usually I have no complaints about this place except for they drag on making your food. But today I was here after a good day at the casino ordering some food to go. The two people who ordered after me got their food first. Then I see my order put out from the kitchen and it sat under the warmer for 5 minutes while 2 ladies were on the register, 1 lady was taking out the food and some light cleaning behind the counter. She walked past the food over and over and over again and ignored that it was there. Finally we had enough and walked up to a man, in a suit, assuming it was the manager or higher up who was whining down a counter behind the counter and asked him, excuse me is our order (insert number here) ready? He doesn't even look up to make eye contact and says "don't think so" really asshat, cause I see my food right there! The lady grabs our food and calls out our number and he says " oh guess so"
unacceptable. The food today was below par, the chicken tasted like it had rubbing alcohol in it. The only good part is that if you use the money from your playing card, it doubles here
Nice that there is an option of a 24 hour deli located at the Blue Chip Casino. Â It has a variety to choose from on their menu. Â Sandwiches, Burgers, Hotdogs including Chicago Dogs and soups & salads. Â They also have a few pastries, cheesecakes and Valpo Velvet icecream which is made locally. Â The prices on the menu are slightly pricey but the food was okay not bad at all. Â The only thing that ruined the experience is when people smoked in the non smoking section but surprised they even had a smoking section which still doesn't consider the non smokers who are trying to enjoy eating without air pollution. Â The cafe is actually located in the casino but outside of the casino checkpoint entrance. Â Anyway what do you expect there are some drunk people talking loud in line and ones dropping food on the floor... its a casino... it happens.
