Nicktown is a tiny little town on Rt. 553 in Cambria County, PA. Â You'd be tempted to drive right through, but--trust me on this--don't. Â The St. Nicholas Hotel is one bar / pizza place that we make it a point to visit every time we cross through central PA. Â They serve their homemade pizza (thin crust) Thursday through Sunday, beginning at 4 p.m. Â
Though they're under new management, my husband swears the pizza is pretty much the same since he was a kid.  They have other  sandwiches and fried foods that you'd expect--also decent, but it's the pizza that will keep you coming back.  The atmosphere is casual and includes a pool table, jukebox, tv, arcade style and video-games, etc.
And as an added bonus, Â this may be one of the very few bars that includes an outdoor shrine to the Blessed Mother. Â Say your prayers and then enjoy your guilty pleasures!
