I made the mistake of ordering take out here about a month ago. I ordered the steak tips with a baked potato and corn from the $9.99 menu.
The food is what you would expect, a smalled size portion then the full priced version. Of course, it was a big giant Styrofoam container filled mostly with disappointment and a little bit of food. Food tasted OK, was nothing special. Next time I will spend the extra couple of dollars for the full sized meal.
I go here often for work taking people as I do some  PCA/ Respite Providing, I only have good things to say about the place despite how it may not be the *healthiest food its very tasty and one must treat themselves to junk, not to mention treats sodium-addiction nicely :).
I really appreciate how the people I bring get treated with much respect by the waiters/ waitresses, can't say I've had a nasty one in my days going there, also appreciate how the staff ask them what they would like instead of treating them like babies talking in an obnoxious- phony voice.
They also make sure their  comfortably seated / have room if they use a wheelchair etc.
They once even moved a bench that was quite heavy just for us, thoughtful !
There also also very quick to offer tables and the most I have ever waited is 15-20 minutes not bad at all for their crowds!, and don't give us dirty looks if we need to take up more then ample space.
I also enjoy how they change up their menus with the season, makes it more interesting for people like myself who go there sometimes once a week!
The desserts are very reasonably priced, love the petite treats!, and not to mention cheap beer, very affordable for fixed budgets if you just want to go and have fun.
They are nice and prompt with getting you your food once the order is placed, check etc which comes in particular handy if leaving right away is necessary, and need to  they don't make a big deal out of it which I appreciate.
I will continue to take people there or even on my own, the lunch deals are also great I never dread tipping the staff at all in there.
The cooking staff seems to be making the rookie mistake of over salting everything. Â It's a common error among cooks with limited experience.
Every item on the plate was over salted. Â And things that are meant to be salty, such as the onion soup I ordered, had so much in it that I can't imagine anyone finishing it.
Really 2.5 starts...It's basic , cheap and convenient. Â First things that bum us out....It is inconsistent with quality of service, food and drink. Â We had Lance as our server on our recent visit and he is the worst you'll get- which really isn't horrible but it isn't good either. No personality and inattentive. Now the kinda good stuff..I usually get a tropical chicken salad and I'm usually pleased. I've only had one time that I had to send it back because of poor quality- rotten lettuce. I wish they had better quality control and were more overall consistent because it is such a convenient quick place to jump into for us. OH well.. We will be back because of the latter- wish I could say they have a killer ? and we can't stay away...
Finally the best stuff. THEY DO HAVE Blue Moon beer which is a favorite of mine. Ok I am rambling...
I'm giving 99 three stars, but would really give them 3 1/2 if I could. Â The food is good for this type of restaurant, but, just as importantly, especially if you are going out with small children, the service was very friendly and attentive. Â They permitted us to call ahead to put our name on the waiting list, so the actual wait was reduced to about 15 minutes (which was very good for a busy Saturday evening). This is a neighborhood place, with pictures of high sports teams on the wall, a full bar (separated by a chest-high wall and the entry area from the main dining area) and a very friendly atmosphere.
Review Source:I'd give this a 2.5 rating. Â The problem with West Concord is your dining options are limited to 99 and Vincenzo's. Â It's the standard chain restaurant fare. Â The drinks are cheap though, and with plenty of TVs at the bar, a good place to watch sports. Â Don't expect much and you won't be disappointed. Â Oh and watch the paper for coupons. With meals at about $10, a $5 coupon cuts your bill in half. Â We're still waiting for more (and better) dining options in West Concord, but not counting on it anytime soon.
Review Source:The 99 is one of those places where asking if the food contains a certain ingredient will basically get you yelled at.
See, the problem's this: If it were a high-end restaurant where you were questioning their ingredients, i can see that. If it's like asking if there's going to be chili paste in Korean grill cooking, i can definitely see that. It's an absurd question.
A chain of restaurants ordinarily has this incredible thing called an "ingredient book." I guess the 99 probably does. Good luck getting it, because frankly my memories of the 99 being fun and yummy were pretty much scrubbed by this den of awful.
I would normally give other Ninety Nine's three stars. However...we had a pretty terrible experience at this one.
A group of about six of us went for apps and drinks. Â The food was okay...typical ninety-nine (in my honest opinion the menu is not bad, but not really exciting in any way).
The bartender was SO rude though. He snapped at my boyfriend when he asked a question about one of the alcohols. Â He was very rude to my friend when she asked if the check could be split (which has never been a big deal at any other bar I have been to). Â The bartender also gave one of my friends (a girl) trouble when another friend (a guy) bought her a drink since the name on the credit card used to pay was a male name. Â
We told the manager, Patty, about the poor service. Â She was apologetic and nice...she offered to comp appetizers if we came back the next day... but, needless to say, we passed. Â We will go back to the Westford 99 if we choose to go again
Tragically, this was one of the best meals we had while we were in Concord. Â
It felt like a slightly more upscale Denny's. Â I had the all star steakburger, which was good. Â The fries were decent. Â I don't remember what my husband had, but he was fine with it. Â
Mainly, to sum up, it was good. Â Not great, but good. Â The main dining room did seem a bit echoey and was noisy, especially thanks to the rowdy kids next to us. Â I wouldn't go out of my way to go back, but if I was around there, I wouldn't object to returning.
wretched.
Terrible service, terrible food.
For some reason, I remember enjoying the 99 as a youngster. Â There was the free popcorn and yummy virgin-pina colatas. Â With fond memories in mind, I thought "what can be the harm", we were simply seeking basic burger and chick finger fare. Â The harm was spending $20 on a meal that I ate 2.5 bites of.
Baffling that people actually take a buzzer and WAIT for a table.
nope.
never again.
My first experience at a Ninety Nine - not too bad, but probably won't go again.
Typically chain style food - they offer popcorn instead of bread when you sit down, which I thought was a little strange. I was craving fish and thought it was much better than I was expecting. The Caesar salad was good, although it had a little too much dressing. Fries were mediocre, but good enough to make me finish all of my friend's :)
There was no wait at all for lunch, but service was very slow. Pretty decent for a chain, but I'd still prefer Chili's.
I don't have much use for the 99, but I may not be in the target demographic of a restaurant that serves a salad consisting of: 1/4 head of iceberg lettuce (not shredded, or anything, just a big lettuce wedge), a thick glaze of Ranch dressing, and bacon bits. This was on their specials menu the last time I went. On another occasion we just wanted dessert, and they were out of the only dessert that sounded at all appetizing, so I just ordered a big Irish coffee. Oh well.
Review Source:You won't find anything different here compared to all the other 99s. In my opinion, the whole chain has gone slightly downhill since they were bought out a few years ago. Nevertheless, you can still get a good burger and a beer here. Look for specials on the "99 Horseshoe Ale". Beware, though, the bartenders will cut you off long before you reach the legal limit - maybe they got sued before or something.
Review Source:My wife picked up some steak tips for takeout there last night after visiting her sister. The tips were underdone, more than a little tough, and the marinade was too strong.
It might have tasted better in the restaurant, since it had gotten a little cold by the time I received it. Definitely would not have helped with the underdoneness, though.
Good restaurarants in Concord are few and far between, though , so this place is likely to always be packed. I've had better luck at Chang An.
