Best bar in Safety Harbor! Copperheads and 8th are nice, but Nolan's is the quaint little joint where you'll see the friendly owner, Craig, tending the bar on a nightly basis. Craig is willing to listen to customer feedback and it shows. There is a fun activity every night of the week and you always feel welcome when you walk in the place! Closest bar to a 'Cheers' feel I've ever been at!
Review Source:It's friendly and clean and a decent place to have a few beers. Downtown Safety Harbor really needed a tap house, and this fits the bill. There are TVs for watching sports, and there's the typical Irish pub theme (American Irish pub, anyway) going on in there.
The beer selection is not overwhelming, even for having 20 taps. They had some decent craft beers but too many ordinary beers that water down the selection. The one thing that really disappointed me was that I ordered a Smithwicks (pronounced "Smitticks"), and it came in a 12 oz "American pint glass", which was smaller than the "actual pint glass" that my wife's cider came in. There was an obvious difference in size. For $5.50 a "pint", I think this was a little lame.
Anyway, as my rating says, Nolan's is "ok". I'll go back, but I don't think it will be a regular place that I visit.
