We showed up for lunch with 12 people from a wedding party from the previous night. Everyone was pleased with both the service and the food. The Bloody Marys were very good as was the service, but the quality of the food was really terrific. I was surprised that everyone's food came out hot and fresh.
I would describe the ambiance and the menu as diner/pub but the quality was unusually good for that type of place.
We have been quite a few times since the fall and have not been disappointed. The chicken barb sandwich is so good, the pastrami on bulkie was great, swiss/bacon burger - the bacon was crisp and the burger juicy, their steak tips are good as well. Cocktails are priced right. River view is awesome. The service is always friendly, and so are the regulars. It is seat yourself and the menus are at the end of the booth, good to know if its your first time, you just make yourself at home. It has 4 flat screens and a pool table. Most importantly the place is very clean. Norms White Horse is a great place to grab a bite and have a few drinks with friends at a reasonable price.
Review Source:The chicken barb was indeed awesome. Â Locals all very friendly, game on, pool table, and reasonable prices. Â The bar is full right now with very cool friendly locals and it's a Tuesday @ 9 pm. Â
****bonus**** they have Boat  ramp out back, ten bucks to launch your own boat on the Merrimack .  How awesome is that?
Went here and sat down. And sat and sat and sat and waited and waited and waited and waited. Yep! Made eye contact with waitress... Yep she just walked on by. So we thought we'd wait for her to come back. And we waited and waited... Finally just left. Lots of fried food on the menu. Didn't know the secret handshake to get service.
Review Source:I've been there a few times, as I live pretty much down the street. My experience, even on a Friday night, is that it's pretty low-key with friendly staff who are especially accommodating to regulars.
Food is a mas o menos proposition; I've had a mixed grill which was good, while my girlfriend had an individual pizza that was, frankly, lousy. I've also had some buffalo tenders and other deep fried fare that rated about a C+.
Still, drink prices are pretty reasonable, and the bar has a nice chill vibe. I'll give the food another shot or two, but so far it has not lived up the the hype I've heard and read.
I've been here a few times and I absolutely love it. The Chicken Barb as they call it is AWESOME. It doesn't need sauce but they will give you some on the side if you ask.
The drinks are fairly priced too.
Nothing better than kicking back at the bar and munching on a Chicken Barb (or two).
The locals are very friendly!
