There's no one thing wrong with the North Brunswick Pub. It's mostly fine for what it is. I think I've just outgrown it. (Which is an odd thing to say since there's no shortage of older folks hanging out here.) I generally like really classy lounges, or I like really divey bars. Anything in between tends to underwhelm me. The Pub falls into that latter category.

There's a lot of favorable reviews here by people who "used to hang at the BBW" - the local's code for Buffalo Wild Wings. Well, that says a lot. I'm not a fan of BBW, or the crowd. And as that young and amateurish BBW crowd has slowly managed to become fixtures at the Pub, I've found the Pub to be less and less desirable to hang out at. It's a neighborhood bar, to be sure. But it lacks that cozy, friendly neighborhood-y bar vibe that a good neighborhood bar typically has. I don't mind coming here from time to time, but I almost always leave wondering whether I really had a good time. The place just isn't that conducive to having one, unless of course you have ADD and like to watch 20 televised sporting events at once.

    Me? Not so much.

Unlike Cheers this is not a bar where everyone knows your name. For a local watering hole this place has a surisingly very cold feel never a buy back and the food is average. I'm not a fan.

Good food, friendly staff, and great for football and sports in general.

The North Brunswick Pub is a great watering hole for 3 reasons:

    1. Every Tuesday and Thursday from 6 pm to close, boneless wings are $0.35 apiece. The wings are meaty, and they have a variety of flavorful sauces to choose from.
    2. Pitchers of PBR for $6.
    3. TVs in every bar booth, which is excellent for watching sporting events.

The nearby BWW gets more attention than this place does, which is actually great for me. Although there is a jukebox, the North Brunswick Pub is a laid back bar with good food and good variety of beers on tap. It's a great local place to gather with some friends for a drink and some wings.

Worst place to be if you are a person of color. Bouncer is the biggest bigot ever, and will pin point the minorities and remove them first even if they are not doing anything obnoxious. The night I visited we we're no where close to Drunk due to their watery alcoholic beverages, and the bouncer decided to hassle my group consisting of mixed races rather than any other and there we're still 60ish people left there... Smh. Even after walking in there is a very negative vibe that says "you're not welcome"... If you want to see the town trash and prostitutes go there otherwise there are more than enough other places around. I do not recommend this place in any way shape or form.

Tuesday night's wing special ($0.35 boneless wings) is not a bad deal. However, avoid the Teriyaki sauce. It was like eating boneless wings dipped in thick syrupy salt with a little Teriyaki flavor as an aftertaste.
Nice staff and good drinks are enough to make me overlook the bad Teriyaki and return if I'm in the area.

There's also a smoking patio out back and like a zillion TVs.

I agree, good service, a clean place (not the usual grubby pub feel) with no dust on the shelves.  Lots of places to sit and too many flat screen TVs to count.  It was quiet at lunch-men from work (construction, etc) having a burger and talking about Tim Tebow.  My hamburger was ok-a bit undercooked but it came quickly with what i ordered.

Went here Saturday night. My friend and I just wanted a couple drinks and some food. We went to BWW first and they were packed!
As always the service is great and it is not a crowded mess like other places. Plus, the tab is so much cheaper.
Only issue are the fries. I wish they would come out hot and crispy.  Take a note from the Jug in Cinnaminson. They do fries great.
Of course I will be back! Never a complaint.

Cool spot, I'm def a fan. I used to go to Buffalo Wild Wings down the street for their Thursday boneless wing specials, until I found this place. NBP is cheaper and a lot less noisy on the average, if you wanna just go chill with your friends. Food & service is also a lot better. Only thing I miss about BWW is the selection of beers on tap, this place sucks in that regard. But, if you don't mind drinking ok-ish beers to be able to talk to chillax and talk to your friends, this place rocks!

This is your typical town/dive bar and if you've read any of my reviews you know this is my type of place.  No need to worry about dress code or $12 beers.  Just cheap drinks and good times.  All of the TVs have been upgraded to HD flat screens so it is also a great place to watch the games.  Sundays during football here get pretty packed, but for good reason considering they have the ticket and they have great specials.  For a dive bar they have a descent selection of beer.  All the ussualls like Miller Lite and Bud Light plus some of the harder to find beers.  Most of the food here is average to good.  I did recently have the Autumn Wrap which was awesome.  Basically a thanksgiving dinner in a wrap.  How can you go wrong?

I love this place! Great food, great service. The beers are cold, the mozzarella sticks perfect. And the perogies are AMAZING!!!!! Also they host the UFC fights nights, $5 cover change but so worth it.

my how things have change. about 7 yrs ago this was the place to be on a thursday nite. music was good and a good amount of people in their 20's. it's no longer a hot spot for a young crowd. the service is just ok and the prices are about average. the food is not so great,  so I recommend skipping the bar pie. it's most def a townie bar.

Upon moving to the area, I was excited to find what appeared to be a laid back local pub/sportsbar nearby.  I guess I set my expectations too high.  This place is nothing more than a dive bar.  Lots of seats at the bar inside, but also lots of grumpy old men.  I sat at one of the booths around the bar, hoping for a decent burger and a beer.  Although it was daytime and there were only a few people in the entire place, the service was terrible - seated ourselves, then were ignored for at least ten minutes.  I'd rather grab a burger at Wendy's next time.

I came here quite a few times when I lived in North Brunswick - never really of my own choice, but rather going along with a girlfriend and her friends. It's a decent enough spot to stop in and have a drink or two with some friends, but I wouldn't make a night of it, although I have before due to the company I was with. But really, it's just a bar folks.

I never experienced the food, so I won't speak on that, but it just doesn't seem like the type of place you'd want to order food from either.

They have a large projection screen that they show certain sporting events on, but it's not even close to HD quality, so don't get excited. And they actually charge a cover at the door during these nights as well, which seems a bit cheesy, because even with a pay-per-view anything showing, this place isn't worth any cover. And the guys at the door can be real douchebags as well.

They also have a smoking room in the back that is like you just stepped into The Fog. Somehow this passes code because of openings to the outside where windows would be where the ceiling meets the wall, but I'd rather go outside, and deal with the douchebag when I come back in.

The music is okay on weekend nights I guess, some people there try to act as if it is a club or something though, I guess doing the best with what they have - or rather don't have. But please don't try to create a dance floor by moving tables to the side by the back bar. That's just sad, really.

I'm glad I don't date anyone that would want to go here anymore that I would feel obligated to indulge...

I have to agree with the reviewer below. Definitely a townie bar. But it's the closest drinking establishment to me now that i've moved. Me and the Bf go there once a month for a greasy bar pizza and some beer. He also likes to swing by after a shift at work. There are ample tv screens if you're into watching football, though I am not. it's always full of people, which is nice, but the bar is crowded, so we usually just get a table. Maybe this will be the spot for us to watch the Phillies have another spectacular season come this baseball season.

    TOWNIE BAR!

i like coming to "The Pub" one day a year. On the day before thanksgiving. I get to see all the people from town who i can catch up with all at once. they have $10 pitchers of yuengling which is awesome. Gets super crowded on this day though and there are lines to get in (what?!) very mixed crowd from fresh 21 yr old home from college to 45 yr old cougar women looking for construction workers to take them home.
