My boyfriend and I had car trouble and thank the Lord, he stumbled on this bar. They were literally earth angels in the night. The bartender and patrons were so friendly.  The bartender gave us good advice about bringing our car to the car dealership rather than to our hotel. They gave us the correct address, as we thought we were in Boston. It was freezing cold outside and they let us stay warm. It was really cool finding out that this was a location used in the movie "The Town" with Ben Affleck. God bless you guys! Everything worked out fine for us. Thank you.

I'm afraid to give this place the stars it deserves (5) as I don't want to spoil it!  We came here on an unintentional 7-bar Charlestown pub crawl.  Although this was the last stop, I don't think that influences my review.  I've spent a lot of time in Ireland in pubs, and this Irish-American place, though different, carries on that same feeling - it's a place where people chat in a friendly manner, beer is cheap, music is not loud or even on, and the lights are up.  The patrons recognized us as "other" but were nice and courteous.  There's a large back room too, maybe party room?  We'll be returning to this one.

I recently came here after visiting Sullivan's, which is very close by and also a top choice.

Old Sully's was used as a location in "The Town."

I was treated like gold by the locals; people here love to tell stories, and leaving wasn't easy.

If you're in Charlestown, Old Sully's is a MUST.

Good people. I love this old corner bar.

First off. Not 100% sure of the address. This is the best I could come up with. It is, however, definitely 100% located on the corner of Union St and Lynde St in Charlestown by the Bunker Hill Community College and whatnot.

You have to love this place. It's got that nitty, gritty dive bar dump "charm" that you sometimes look for. You know the place. Believe me when I say this is a dive.

The drinks are cheap. $3 a pint as best I can figure. And they seem to serve bar food if you're interested, but I wouldn't expect much. It's a great place to unwind and soak up some Charlestown Irishness.

Good people. Good beer. I love it.
