I loved this wine bar. Every time I have went to this place, the service was fun, friendly, and terribly endearing. I love the wine tasting and plush seats. I would not come here to eat. The food is so so but the service and wine is wonderful!

When we first stepped inside, we were intrigued by the cozy atmosphere and the blues musician performing at an electronic keyboard.  We sat down at a table where we didn't even notice the lack of place mats and the silver ware wrapped in paper napkins. The lasagna came highly recommended by our waiter so I ordered it and my wife ordered a meatball sandwich.  We wanted a glass of Zinfandel with our meal but the waiter thought we meant white Zin. When we explained that we wanted  red Zin." He did not seem to know there was such a thing.  No big deal, we ordered Pinot Noir instead.  Our salad arrived looking like one I remembered from the school cafeteria in elementary.  I think the bowls were the same little woven plastic things I remember.  It was iceberg lettuce and not much more. I would have liked to shake some salt and pepper on it but there were no shakers at the table and no one paying attention.

IT GETS MUCH WORSE!  The meatball sandwich came on a tiny round hamburger bun that was rather flat.  My wife was disappointed. My lasagna tasted like something you would find in the frozen dinner area at any supermarket. Though very unimpressed, we were hungry and the food was tolerable so we ate it and I had a second glass of wine.  WHEN THE BILL CAME WE WERE SHOCKED! It seemed really high for the meal and service we had just experienced. Looking closer we noticed charges for four glassed of wine at $9 each.  When we brought it to the waiters attention, he seemed very annoyed and returned with a wine list (which we had not seen) and pointed out that "Pinot Noir was actually $10 glass so we got a deal". We reiterated that we only had three glasses, not four and expressed that it was only $9 a bottle wine anyway. A little catty I will admit, but he was pushing us.   He huffed and adjusted the ticket.  He asked, "Well, but did you enjoy your meal?" I would probably have left it alone but he asked and I expressed my critique. He argued "Well, you ate it all!"

NOW THINGS ARE GETTING UNCOMFORTABLE.  Speaking as he stormed off, he said "Tell ya what. I'm gonna make you a deal."  He returned with a bottle of the same wine we drank and offered us the choice of paying the full ticket and receiving the full bottle of wine or having him adjust the ticket to reflect the three glassed (not four) that we drank. WHAT ON EARTH IS GOING ON HERE???

I said "No, I do not want your bottle of wine, please adjust the ticket and we will leave.  He said, "Fine!" and adjusted it. We left with a very bad taste in our mouth for this establishment.
