Ole's Cafe & Taqueria

We just stopped in to have a quiet bite to eat. It wasn't crowded at all. We were greeted with a very friendly waitress and the owner spoke with us as well. We had their "2 for $12" special. Very good!  After the meal we moved to the back where they had a guitar player, bar, and pool tables. It was a great New Years Eve in a low key comfortable atmosphere. We will definitely return.

The service was a bit slower than usual, but the food was very good as it always is!  We'll be back.

Most ethenic Tex/Mex in This area. Has room with pool tables. Open on Sunday...real bonus since every other Mexican rest. is closed. I must say now the business is under new owners. So gone are the days "when everyone knew your name!" The new owners still use the same menues, & most of the same wait staff & cooks are still here. I'm happy to note that a lot of customers head out to the billiard room to play, drink, & eat. So lots of pretty clean tables for non-drinkers, & families. As I have already stated, of the couple of Tex/Mex food establishments in Alvarado, I'd drive a bit down hwy67 & park in a dusty parking lot to eat at this athenic Mexican restaurant.
