On The Hill Tavern

I've been here late-night for drinks but went for the first time for dinner last weekend when the family was in town. Now my family complains about EVERY meal we eat out. Cheap or fancy, doesn't matter they complain. But they didn't complain about this one! Not one complaint! We had the chicken marsala special. Which I never order out! Last time I did was at Rosie's (RIP) and it was AWFUL. Like inedible. Anyway this one was great with lots of mushrooms!  I had the bayou burger w/onion rings, also a special. It was awesome. I asked for half packed up when we left and she even packed up the 2 onion rings left. Love it! Also had the crispy chicken sandwich w/bacon. That was great too. The drinks: mudslide, strawberry & mango margarita & plain old beer were also good, large & reasonably priced ($8 for the fancy ones). I will return.

I love the food here... I'm a pretty simple girl. The burgers are delicious, there were fried Mac and cheese bites for a special that were super good. Not fancy, but I love it.

I'd totally go back here some day, if my friends made me.

I mean, I had fun because I was with my friends. Bar service was terrible, and the only reason I know this is because our waitress never came back to our table after she dropped off our first round of drinks. The bathroom was pretty gross. The karaoke was weird. The people were weirder.

Some of you seem to be really into it. It's all yours. Fer realz.
