What a cool piece of history. Â This is the general area where Teddy Roosevelt went on his famous Bear Hunt and refused to kill the bear that the "guides" had tied to a tree. Â When the story broke, the "Teddy Bear" was born....
I grew up hunting near here and used to stop and eat burgers. Â I remember them being really, really good.
We rolled in for a burger for lunch and the place looked the same as it did when I last visited about 15 years earlier. Â Deserted.
Well, the burgers are still great as is reading the walls and the story of the famous black-bear hunt that brought us the Teddy Bear.
Head over for a burger and a piece of history!
