We live right up the road from the location in Delran. Â Haven't been there in awhile, only because the food is so bad. Â And I'm not a picky eater. Â GREAT place for a beer, but only for a beer. Â Love the atmosphere outside. Â I wish they had decent food. Â I drive past the place all the time and the place always has a good crowd. Â I can't imagine how much better the place would be overall if they could pay attention to the food. Â Maybe a good candidate for Kitchen Nightmares? Yo, Chef Ramsey!
Review Source:I like going to Otts. In fact, it's probably my favorite watering hole in the area. I like the cheap bar food. The wings are awesome and aren't breaded. I don't understand why bars in the area bread wings, but that's a topic for a different conversation. The facilities are clean and the outdoor seating is a very nice place to relax. The three stars is for the staff. They basically ignore you as they walk around, and I've been here at least 20+ times. They also have all the big tvs hooked up to the same feed (or so I've been told) every Sunday, so they won't change a channel on Sunday - even if the Eagles aren't playing and NO ONE else is watching that TV! I've stopped heading over that direction, but don't let me stop you from getting cheap food and beer. Great place to watch sports, but only if its already on. Forget asking for help.
Review Source:Working right around the corner from here I find that the convenience and local feel is a comfort after a long day of work. Knowing I can come here for a Yuengling and a fantastic meal (haven't found anything I didn't like) makes life easy. The wait staff is friendly and attentive even while they are busy.
Review Source:I'm not a regular but I've been to Otts a few times throughout a few years and every time I make it to this bar they seem to step up the appearance. What was once a simple dive bar years ago with a small outside seating has expanded to have more of a vacation style feel to its outside deck with plenty of seating.
The food is typically fried american food (burgers, wings, fries with globs of cheese and so on) with a decent selection compared to other bar venues. Not much to rave about if you compare it to a fancy restaurant but c'mon it's a bar! I wouldn't come here expecting a hostess to pull out the chair.
The servers were nice, maybe a little annoying because they wanted us to run through drinks faster but other than that I like it here and plan on coming out again.
Hmmmm...not sure what the deal is here with the bad ratings. Â We spend many a Saturday/Sunday afternoons here for some beers and to watch baseball or football. Â They have all of the packages and are kind enough to put signs underneath each flat screen displaying what game will be on each television. Â Good pub grub, polite bartenders and servers. Â They have spent a lot of money updating the inside (three years ago, I would have filed this under dive bar without question), and while the bathrooms are still gnarly despite the new awful teal tile, the outside deck has been expanded and is lovely. Â This is a Miller Lite/Cheese steak place, and it doesn't pretend to be anything else. Â It is always packed during Happy Hour and late night, so make sure you time your arrival correctly. Â Also, one of the tenders told us their brunch is amazing - all you can eat for like $5.99 or something ridiculous? Â Will definitely check that out.
OH. Â And there is no rhyme or reason to the parking lot - kind of just go with whatever pattern has been created that evening.
This is a "Local" place people come by , close to home, not for me. You will definitely see people from around, ones you don't wanna see, too. It's been around for ions, was next liquor store, tavern, withing the last 10-15 yrs added a deck, so spring up to the fall..hang outside. The food??! Hmm..its typical bar food, nothing to write home about, not great, not worse, but just not appealing. Good if you don't feeling like crossing bridge, drinking going too far..but the service, little rude at times. I only go if some friends invite me to stop by, I wouldn't pick this place -EVER!!!!
Review Source:Been here for dinner once, sat out back. Ate something forgettable and only fine. Excluding Philly, options are sparse on the bar front so the parking lot is usually full especially on game night. If from around here, you already know to expect to run into gross ghosts of high school past.
But I am left unimpressed by Ott's service, after looking up the menu online and being told upon a call for pick up that they had none of the desired dishes. Just... none. You guys don't have fucking hamburgers? Nevermind the lobster bisque or tuna melt mentioned amongst your pages. No hamburgers?
Either that is the dumbest bar menu or Ott's hired the dumbest person to answer the phone. Say farewell to the possibility of my patronage, man.
My "local watering hole" and the kind of place where I am sure to run into people I went to high school with. Â There's nothing special about this bar--the prices are dirt cheap and its completely unpretentious. Â I have on occassion seen John Runyan, of the Philadelphia Eagles and truck commercial fame, anchoring one end of the bar until closing time (during the off season, of course). Â Real man of the people, that guy.
As for the food, there's a slightly larger than average bar menu. Â For Super Bowl we ordered take-out wings and they were all you could ask for--nice crispy skin and perfectly calibrated hotness in the sauce. Â Everything else is what you would expect.
During the spring through early autumn, Ott's outside deck is a great place to hang out and watch the Phils game. Â It has a dining area semi-autonomous from the bar area so its suitable for brining your family to have dinner. Â In the early evening, its not uncommon to see families and older couples occupying tables. Â (Not to suggest that this is a hip, young place at night or anything.) Â There is also a small liquor store connected to Ott's, though I can't imagine any scenario where that should be your first choice--Canal's is less than a mile up the road and if you want to buy beer after hours the only place open is the Pavillion a couple miles away in Riverside.
