The Outback

Along Jones and Gifford Avenue which runs from Jamestown to Celeron along the Chadakoin there are only two bars, the Swamp and this one, the Outback. Both are dive bars, both flood when the Chadakoin overflows, both have dirt (often with water puddles) parking lots, both generally cater to the beer guzzling crowd and neither has much of a reputation for cleanliness. The beer drinks are cheap and mix drinks are given a healthy free pour. One redeeming factor of the place, however, is that the patrons all seem to be a good bunch of friendly fun loving folks with a lot of jokes, laughs and tall tales to tell.

I should point out, however, that Jones and Gifford Avenue has a 30 mile per hour speed limit and is a favorite area for the police to patrol when they are low on their ticket quota.
