The pizza is ok and I like their chowder. Â Service has been fine whenever we go there. Â It's one of the better places to go on the island for pizza. Â This location is quite a bit smaller than the one on Beach Haven but it hasn't been crowded when we go. Â Nothing to write home about though and not something I would go out of my way for. Â To be honest it's a little overpriced, but I find that to be true of most restaurants on the island.
Review Source:The pizza is okay. It's not bad, not great, just kind of good (a little doughy, as another reviewer said).
I've been going here for decades, but two nights ago I made my last visit there. I picked up an order, and upon arriving home discovered they forgot two items. I called them to let them know I had to come back to retrieve food items that they forgot. The young worker just said, "Oh, okay. I see it. It's right here." No apology. No offer to rectify the situation--just "Oh, okay."
When I arrived to get the forgotten items, they just handed them to me without any apologies. Then, when I got home, an opening of the "forgotten" bag revealed that one of the things they gave me was the wrong item (even though the receipt stated the correct item)!
I expect better customer service from a restaurant in a community such as northern Long Beach Island. If Panzone's cannot provide that service, then I will find it elsewhere.
