Terrible service, awful hookah. I tried complaining about the quality of hookah because there was no taste whatsoever and the bouncer who was 200+ lbs started yelling at us and got in our face. I really have never been treated so poorly and been somewhere where I had to use the word ghetto to describe it. I'm so upset that I came here and I really would never recommend this place to even someone I dislike. It is truly the worst establishment and the owners should never have been given a business to run.

Oh man. The flavor choices are on point, and if you come with an even number of people, it's perfect. First time I went it was with 3 people, second time with 4, and it was way better because you got to have 2 hookahs. Really chill once again, and even though we went an hour before closing, it was still fun. Had a great time, plus the owner is a chill dude. He hooks it up when he can ;)

What an AWFUL place!!! Never in a million years would I go back. It looked really cool online so I got a big group of friends to go, but what a mistake that was! We got here around 10pm and by 11pm I was out the door only because I wanted to make my 10 bucks at least somewhat worth it. (Just saw this morning they charged me $10.85 on my card probably because I used a card versus - Thanks for the disclaimer guys! Sheesh.)

The DJ sucked, the lights were gay, and you know a lounge is no fun at all when everyone is watching the music videos playing on the TV! There was barely anybody in there and it was a SATURDAY NIGHT! Really? Not to mention the street it's on is dead in general. The guy (owner I'm guessing) knows his business obviously because when he saw that I didn't like what I saw when I peeked in he said we better hurry up and get inside because the place gets packed when the DJ gets there. To be honest I never even noticed there was a DJ. All he did was play a playlist. That's not a DJ...

I left this place mad and couldn't believe such a dead place existed on a weekend night. Not too mention when I left they had a line of maybe 5 or 6 people waiting when inside it was not even a quarter full. How lame. I don't recommend anyone go here unless you want a quiet place to smoke by yourself.

1 star for the ice hose hookah. First time I had tried that.

For my first time here, I expected it to be packed with kids younger than me. I walk in through the door and pay the fee ($10) and I'm surprised there's ample space. My friend and I were relatively new here but the staff was amazingly hospitable. They gave us suggestions on what would taste better with the recommended ice hose (extra $5 but SO worth it). The vibes from the music and the environment itself was just amazing. Enough to make you want to go and dance! I loved this place so much I know I'll be coming back every time I want to go and hookah with friends. No cons whatsoever in my book.

Paradise is always the first choice when I want to go to a hookah lounge. The weekdays are great for a relaxed atmosphere and the weekends are perfect for going with a big group for a party type feel. The song selection is always just right. Mo, Tesh, and of course P, are very accommodating; they are the best. Their shisha selection is amazing. If you have not been here yet, you have to check it out. I could not be happier with coming here!

I've experienced better the only reason im giving it 2 stars is because i got in for free and a friend works there, they play OK every day over-rated music and people are jumping around all over the place trying to rap to songs lol annoying and pretty amusing. Worth going ONE time

Chill out staff you aren't ghetto super stars!

Sunday ~7pm.  Not too many people here.  This seems like a place where the owner and his friends come hang out and smoke--laid back atmosphere.  The hookah was really good--didn't get harsh.  The atmosphere wasn't too bad.  I mean, it could have been a little nicer, but to just hang out and smoke for a little while, not bad.  The coal service was really good. Can of soda was only a dollar. Charge was $10/person = $20 for the one hookah for the two of us--never been to a place that charges in that manner.

I started coming to paradise after the closing of everyone's beloved Cairo Nights in the city. The first time i went i was hoping to find a crazy hookah lounge/ club/ WTF like Cairo. This place is nothing like that. But its still pretty good in its own way.

    What's Crackin':
1.Tesh (the owner/ manager guy) is a homie. get to know him. he's HELLA chill.
2.THE SHISHA they have some rally good mixes, but you don't even need to read the menu, just tell them what you want and they'll who up a crackin' mix for you on the spot.
3.THE SLAPS be on point! a nice mix of new stuff/ underground
    4.Friday Night/ Saturday night.
    What's not so Crackin':
    1. Coal service good be a little faster.
    2. weeknights can be kind of dead, so you have to go with a big group.

So this was my second time going and I was pretty excited for the good Hip-Hop music and awesome hookah. I got there pretty early at around 10ish ( It was a Friday night... I suggest you get there EARLY on Friday/Saturday nights for a good/AVAILABLE seat) and I decided to bring my boyfriend and two of my friends. We ultimately had a good time. It was my friends first time going and they had a lot of fun too.

The only thing I didnt like was when it got too packed and there was a line outside waiting to come in they refused to give us a re-fill and then they were going to charge us $20 for a refill. I understand they have a business to run and that they want everyone to be able to come in and have a good time. It's a very popular place and after making a little complaint to the managers they went ABOVE and BEYOND to make sure we left with smiles on our faces. I have to say their customer service is AMAZING!!

Pros: GOOD MUSIC! Cheap cover price. Dancing. Really delicious HOOKAH!

Cons: It cost $10 for a re-fill, it gets really packed, the dance floor isnt very big. +18&up. No booze!

I have gone here a couple of times already and every time I go I am content with the place. It never is somewhere that stands out to me or any place that I feel I really crave going there.

starting with a group of 6 there we originally paid for VIP. seating but were put in the regular section in the not so comfy chairs even though we were told we would be seated in the VIP. section.

The workers were really nice and quick though. Right when we sat down they went and brought a hookah. Only one hookah with 1 hose for 6 people didn't seem right but that is what they gave us. Eventually they let us back into the VIP section (super awesome!) and they gave us a couple more hookahs. Our group of 6 later turned into over 25 people and we only had 5 hookas with 1 hose each for the rest of the night!

I am a little upset and bothered by the owner of the place. By me simply telling him how much I liked it but explained how I am not a fan of them treating every customer like a young misbehaving child. They turned on the lights countless times to scream and/or yell at the kids inside NOT to break their $120 plus hookahs and that if anything was broken there would be a problem and they would have to pay them back. That all makes sense to me, but is it necessary to constantly pause me to tell me I am going to ruin the hookahs and that I have to pay? Let me know before I go in or ask me to be careful. Although those comments were not targeted at me or the group I was with it was still very annoying on my end.

    I like this place.

Customer service is great, they really make a point to make sure that you have a great time. Also they definitely know how to make a hookah hit hard.

The flavors that they serve taste great. I wish they would write a description of each flavor so you would know what to expect when you order

I went at 5 pm so I didn't get to see all the lights and the djs but I hope to next time!

I decided to bring a friend of mine, who's much more knowledgeable about hookah than I am, to use a Trubate I'd purchased on a whim.

The staff was so amazingly attentive and generous with advice, information, and assistance. Definitely the best customer service experience I've had in a very very long time.

Cute, eclectic mix of tables and couches. Nice lights in the ceiling. Lovely hookahs. Great prices.

The custom-blend they made for us was lovely.

I'm not typically a big fan of the music they had going, but that's not a big deal. Everyone else seemed to enjoy it, and my friend and I were having such a fun time, that the music didn't matter much.

I would definitely make the drive again, totally worth it.

I hope these guys stay open!!!

Well, my friends and I tried this place out since we had dinner at Sushi House last night.  Unfortunately, it was my suggestion to come to this Hookah Lounge.  At first it seemed OK, it was empty when we went in, maybe around 10 or so customers around 9:30PM.  It was $10 bucks cover to enter which includes one hookah refill.

With 7 of us, they gave us 2 hookah's with 1 tube each (excuse the improper lingo).  For 7 people, 2 didn't seem adequate, but whatever we dealt with it.  It took the worker 15 minutes to set it up for us.  As we sat around and lounged, the annoying disco lights were irritating the sh*t out of my friends.  The TV's were on but didn't show anything.

By about 10PM, the place was packed.  The only thing missing was the Kanye West stunna shades as we were told this is an 18+ lounge hence, NO ALCOHOL.

I'd give this place 1 star, but they get an extra one just because they made an effort to come around to add additional pieces of tobacco on our hookah without charge.  Overall, I'd prefer a regular/traditional hookah bar.  I wouldn't come back to this place solely because of the lack of alcohol and the crowd that it attracts.

You absolutely cannot beat the service here!  The staff was SO incredibly attentive and knowledgeable.  They custom blended some shisha for us because nothing on the menu jumped out at us at first and every one of the three bowls we smoked was delicately flavoured, balanced, and delicious.  They had expert techniques and product recommendations (which were even more impressive because they don't actually sell them themselves, they were just coming from a conoisseur's love of the art of smoking).

If I could I'd give this place no stars. Pretty upset about my experience. The guy at the door told us $10 each, but then when we were gonna pay, another guy charged us $15. No business principle at all! SHADY! Kinda sad too, cuz the people inside were cool. The guys who gave us our hookah even said it should have been $10. Even worse, a friend of mine knows the owner, and I always like supporting businesses of my friends, but because of the shady chubby dude in glasses at the door randomly charging other people $15, I will never come here again.

I wouldn't say this is the best hookah lounge I've been to, but its alright. Before entering, you have to pay and once inside they'll stamp your wrist. The guy at the door charged us $10 each for ONE hookah and only ONE refill. I thought that was a bit much because when I usually go to hookah lounges, they don't restrict us to only one refill. Plus, the hookahs they use look like they bought them off of eBay. I couldn't help but notice that. They are very tiny and cheap so it's a given your flavor will run out in no time if you're sharing with more than one person. But anyways, aside from that at least our coals never ran out. There would always be someone checking on them and replacing them whenever needed. Oh, and if you have a certain flavor in mind ask them if they have it even if it's not on the menu. The menu they give you only has like seven choices on there (all of which I've never heard of). We wanted just plain mint and they were able to get that for us.

The place its self is pretty large and there are seats all along the walls. They use the walkway area in the middle as a makeshift dance floor. I guess this serves as a 'club' for the under 21 crowd on the weekends. I felt like I was reliving one of my high school dances. You have the Backstreet Boys in the middle of the place attempting to choreograph a dance with each other and Queen Latifah wearing booty shorts two sizes too small shaking her goodies in your face.. Talk about awkward... And I wonder what is up with the lazer lights? They're so blinding! I can't enjoy my hookah when I have a ton of lights flashing in my eyes. Also, bathrooms are in need of some cleaning. Water (or piss?) all over the floor, no toilet paper and the toilet seat in the larger stall looks like its going to fall off any day now.

It's hard determine who works there because nobody really introduced themselves (other than the doorman and some guy who introduced himself as the owner or part-owner). Random people would come change our coals.. I didn't know if they were staff or guys just trying to be nice because they wouldn't say a word and were dressed in regular street clothes... then they'd either go off and dance with the rest of the crowd or sit down and stare at girls. Haha. So when you have questions, you don't know who to ask!

Maybe I will try coming here on a week day and hopefully have a more pleasant experience.. But as of right now, I will only come here as a last resort.

I'm only giving this place 2 stars because their dj plays relatively good music (for the most part). The owner is a complete douche and the employees there (get paid under tha table) dance around like monkeys and completely ignore the cutomers. We had a group of 13 people and seriously had to wait over 40 min for our damn hookah. After asking several times they finally brought us the hookah (the wrong flavor). I won't be spending my hard earned 10 dollars here anytime soon!

Since living in the city most have come to discover you can't smoke hooka inside anymore! So went on yelp to review some places. Picked this one because the feed back was pretty good.

They were having a private event which I get, so we come back later to discover its too crowded which seemed strange since it wasn't that packed.
Also realized is mainly an 18 and up club spot on the weekends. So it was frustrating since you want to chill and relax and no where did the reviews even incline to that. I am all for fun but not in the mood to share my evening with youngsters just learning how to stretch their wings.

Little too loud and roudy for what I was looking for on this particular Saturday evening.

This place is really chill. Great vibe, good music. Workers are friendly and come around often to take care of the coal. From reading some of the reviews, they seem to be  pricey. Lucky for me, when i went with my girls, they were really nice and only charged us $30 for the 4 of us and even gave us 2 free hookahs. I guess it being our first time and being a chick in general has some perks haha !

First off, the price. its a little price-y but hey, where are you gonna get cheap hookah besides doing it yourself right? haha, anyways price is worth it. very chill relaxing place, but the seats can be a little more comfortable. music is always on and playing, very light music when its empty, louder music when it gets a bit more crowded. apparently the middle area is also for a dance floor sort of deal, but i havent seen it yet. i am anxious to come in on one of those days though. some days they do have a live dj come in and play music which is nice, and they have lights flashing everywhere. good hookah, the owner is always around and nice, stops by to refill on coals pretty often and flavors are pretty good. especially orange gummi bear. so far one of my favorite flavors of all time. nothing to really hate about this place you know? but so far one of my favorite places to go to smoke.

This hookah lounge took me by surprise. I'm used to going to Old Jerusalem, but they were closed. My friends and I drove around, trying to find another one and this was recommended to us. At first, it seemed to loud and club-like, especially in comparison to Old Jerusalem. However, the atmosphere was actually really fun. I liked the style of the building, and the live dj. All the staff were really friendly and easy going. The only issue was probably that we ordered white peach and smooth sex but they tasted the same. Apart from that, if you want a more upbeat environment to maybe dance or have fun with friends, then I would recommend it. Also, they have movie nights which sound awesome.

This is hands down the worst hookah lounge I've ever been to..

    1. They charged us an upfront charge of $15 per person for 3 people. Total was $45 for only ONE hookah for 3 people.

    2. They didn't even let us have our own tongs, which is beyond stupid since all other hookah bars give their customers tongs.

    3. They tried too hard to make the place look like a club, with the music turned to the highest volume so we couldn't even hear ourselves think.

    4. The service was pretty much nonexistent, the attendant rarely came around to help us clear our charcoal.

    5. The hookah wasn't even that good, it was very harsh to smoke compared to many other hookah lounges I've been to.

This place sucks. Don't even bother to waste your money here. $45 for one hookah? really? Better find a better way to treat your customers.

Bored on a Thursday night, me and a few friends decided we were in the mood to smoke some hookah. I've already been to most of the popular hookah lounges in the city and upper peninsula so I decided to give this place a try since it's new. I heard about it through Facebook and Yelp and thought, "Why not?". So we get there and we're surprised how convenient parking was. I parked my car literally outside the door. Upon entering, we were greeted and welcomed promptly by the owner, Tesh, who was super chill and friendly. He explained the rates to us, which to my surprise were extremely cheap. He gave us a menu so we took a quick glance at it as he recommended some of his favorites then we ordered 2 hookahs and sat down. The layout of the lounge was very simple but organized. This place is ridiculously clean, by the way. Throughout the 2 or so hour experience, Tesh checked up on us frequently, made sure the hookah was hitting smooth, replaced our coals when needed, and just chatted with us and cracked jokes. Definitely one of the best, if not THE best, customer service experiences I've had at a hookah lounge. He said that on the weekends, they have a DJ so I'm definitely looking forward to coming back to see what it's like on the weekend. I highly recommend this lounge to hookah lovers everywhere. Hope this place sticks around as long as possible. The rates and customer service are unbeatable. All you other lounges out there, take note! It's just a matter of time before the word gets out about Paradise Hookah and they take off with your customers!
