Penn Station=Ripoff
Med cheesesteak, med fry, med drink = $13.78
I grew up eating hoagies in the mid atlantic east coast, this place is a fraud.
My cheesesteak had more onion, than steak; it was a bun with cheesy onions and not good. Â I threw it away. Â Penn Stations are a horrible value.
Love the subs! Â While the Italian sub is good... my favourite is definitely the Philly Cheesesteak. Â I get it with the sauteed onions, mushrooms, mayo, and banana peppers. Â SO GOOD! Â And the fresh-cut fries are delicious as well. Â They have other sandwiches, including sandwiches for the vegetarians and they offer the sandwiches without bread as salads or you can create your own. Â It is a bit on the pricey side (between $6 and $10 if you make it a meal), but it is a satisfying meal.
The service isn't bad, although sometimes when they get very busy, the service can get very, very slow... as they deliver your sandwich to your table after you order and pay at the register.
Alright, I'm from the East Coast and love the style of subs we had out there. So when I moved to Indiana I wasn't sure how a sub place out here would hold up to the ones back home. BUT I can't get enough Penn station. The fries are the same if not better then the ones back East. The only difference is that they don't put the fries on the sub for you, but that can be fixed easy enough. I get the turkey with Provolone and Cheddar with all the toppings, a lemonade (which is amazing), a small fry and a cookie to split with the Girlfriend. It only adds up to about 8 dollars too! Not to bad for an "Indiana" sub company, not bad at all - keep it up Penn Station
