Tony and I was at Fall Creek Falls State Park hiking all day and we drove down to Pikeville  for some late afternoon lunch.  We drove through the town and I took some pictures of some  lovely old homes in the Historical District. The town was so dead and quiet. Â
We didn't really have many restaurants to choose from and the Pig-N-Catch was the prettiest so it got my vote.
We went inside. There is front porch dining available if you want to eat outside..but not me..I hate flies!!! The inside was bright and colorful...tons of pigs line the shelve in the decor with cane tall back chairs with wicker seats and red-white checkered cloth tables..lots of windows so very bright inside. Â I give the decor a 4 out of 5 stars..
The restaurant was clean and bright ...but foremost very clean. The bathroom was very clean.. Â but ONLY ONE bathroom to share......NOT a good thing for me...but it was clean at least..I give it 3 out of 5 stars..
The waitresses was the owner..and her husband ran the register and talked on his cell a lot.
We had to ask for extra napkins..we had to ask for refills and we had to ask for BBQ sauce and ketchup..it wasn't that busy...so not sure what that was about..gave it 3 out of 5 stars on being quick and efficient.
The food is the main thing RIGHT???
I ordered Pulled Pork sandwich with slaw and side of potato salad with Root Beer and Tony ordered Catfish sandwich with cheese and tarter sauce on a cold bun with french fries and sweet tea...
The buns were both cold ...not steamed or grilled or even warmed up in anyway shape or form...but they were both good. We  split the sandwiches in 1/2 to share...I couldn't eat buns...they were not fresh and cold out of the package....not prepared in anyway..
Potato salad was good. The pulled pork was not that hot (( as in temperature))) and not much sauce so we had to add extra...The fries were fries out of a frozen bag...nothing to rave about.
The catfish was frozen and deep fried...about 3 miles down the road, I had to pull over and realize my stomach of the access grease!!!! Frozen and deep fried in old grease..
So I give the food a 3 out of 5 stars
Finally the price...only $17.15 with taxes plus $3 tip...so pricing for lunch for two was average...the food looked good but wasn't there in the taste..so I would give the pricing a 4 out of 5 stars
total stars...17 stars out of possible 25 stars so divided by 5 the average is 3.5 stars so I rounded up to 4 stars for my review...I would not seek this restaurant out..but if you are in the area..check them out..they are friendly..and food is good..not just special....
This was in a small town that my friends and hubby and I stopped in at to eat while we are out riding our motorcycles. Since we  love to support local businesses and the "mom and pop" places, it sounded great. When we first walked in, I leaned over to my friend and told her I felt so out of place and that we didn;t belong there bc everyone was staring at us when we walked in. I mean, they even stopped eating to stare. The service at first was great. It was a kid and he got our drinks quickly and our orders right after. It started going downhill from there. The barbecue was very dry and the sauce needed alot more spices. My food was great but hey, it's not too much to fix a hamburger. The stuffed baked potato looked like something you would see on the bathroom floor at the club after a night of drinking. The guy that got our orders was either on break or forgot about us bc our next waitress was a chick. They never came back to fill our drinks so I just got up and started to get our drinks. I got mine and my husbands filled, went back to the table to get our two friends' drinks. The waitress told me that she could get them for me but I told her no thanks bc I already got half of them. So, the service could have been lots better. The food was just a waste of time, and to beat it all, it was $20.00 for a burger and a barbecue plate. We will not be back! The worst thing was that while we were waiting to be served, the owner/manager was outside chatting to some people she obviously knew while she had the kids (our waiter/waitress) in the restaurant slaving away their childhood. I most certainly will not be back to this weird little place!!!
