Pinsetters is da bomb!!!   First off Mark the owner is a genius!!!!   Take some of the good from lucky strikes, some of the food from PJ's and places like that, some banging ass drinks and roll it all up and you get PINSETTER!!!!!!   Everything about this place is banging and you don't even need to go to the city for it!   Also parkings free!   They always have something going on from dj's to contests, it's the deal!   Prices are more then affordable as well!   If you like to bowl, or just drink thus us the spot!

Pinsetter is a very cool bowling alley. First of all, the place seems classy, shiny, and new in comparison to all the dingy alleys that have been around for ages. And yet it somehow maintains the laid back charm of a bowling alley, doesn't come off trendy or hipster. It remain familiar & comfortable.

There are several lanes with big screens at the end that play music videos. The panels where you enter bowlers' names and whatnot are newish, but seemed hard to use--i.e. people I was with were struggling to push buttons and actually have letters or cursor moves happen. The shoes, however, have shoelaces and are pretty sweet. The threads light up under the black lights.

I was at Pinsetter this past weekend for a fundraiser, and it was a great event. Unbeknownst to me, there is an upstairs. This is where people entered raffles and such during the event. The staff put up a partition to separate the lanes reserved for the event, and there is another room down a few steps where desserts and other tables were set up. Every other screen of the reserved lanes showed a screen for the foundation we were supporting. It was a simple but very nice touch. There was always someone walking in and out to clean up trash and used dishes, or to bring people another drink.

That's the other nice thing about Pinsetter. They have a nice bar. There are booths separated from the lanes by ceiling to floor curtains. The food is decent, from what I remember, and it's enticing to stay after a couple games of bowling. Some nights they have karaoke, and it really just runs like a typical bar.

The Cupid Shuffle came on. An entire section of the alley broke out in dance. No one batted an eye.

This is the best bowling experience I've had.

Yes I've been to North Bowl, you whinny self-righteous hipster. Although, I'm sure you only thought North Bowl was" cool" for the first week that it was open, when you were the only one who knew about it, and the thought of bowling seemed really ironic.

Yes I've been to Lucky Strike, you unimaginative, bandwagon elitist.

Pinsetters blows them both away. It was worth it to go to a different state (literally ten minutes from Philly) to get this experience. Say hello to customer service. "My name is Mark, should you need anything, just let me know." Not just grunts in response to a barrage of shoe sizes. Actual human conversation. I was befuddled. A bar that had options that weren't limited to bud and bud light. I had a darn grey goose martini at a bowling center and I didn't feel douchy. I WAS IN HEAVEN.

*note to self* the vodka helped my bowling, not at all*

So I mentioned the dance party. Yeah, that happened. There was a dj..my apologies, a DJ. Not just some dude with an iPod, but an actual capital Dee, DJ, with headphones, taste and intentionality. Too much for a suburban bowling center, you say? PERHAPS. But hey, it was a Friday night. Shuffle on, friends. Shuffle on.

The staff was attentive. The crowd was happy to be there. The energy was good. The food was good for a bowling center. For a lot of places, actually.

I'd highly recommend Pinsetters. And oh yeah, tell 'em Big Texas sent you!
