Poplar Place

Let's start with the positive.  It's cheap!  Coming from the West Coast drinks are infinitely cheaper here than anywhere else.  It's a modest bar that expanded into the neighboring shed-like building.  There are about 2 pool tables and a large assortment of dart machines.  The night I was there they had some sort of darts competition with large men and women throwing darts at the wall.  Some were even sober enough to hit the target.

Big big minus though for disconnecting the beer taps.  Previously you could get Blue Moon on tap for $1.25 or so.  Sadly, they removed all the taps.  What kind of bar removes all the taps?  The crowd's a bit...how to say...rough, but where else are you going to go?
