We were in the area for a pretty large group wine tasting trip. We wanted a place to gather and have some beers and food at the end of a looooong tasting day close to everyone's hotels however not too formal, scheduled or pricey. Most places in Solvang are small and were not happy to or couldn't accommodate 40 people. I called Randy's and Randy answered the phone and was more than happy to have us. He was so friendly and welcoming. Very different from the "brewery" a few doors down. He even called me a couple of times leading up to the weekend to ask questions and chat about what we needed and ensure our good time. There is a patio in the back and the antique store/bar is cozy and roomy at the same time. He has pool and board games and that night had a live band that we danced to cover songs until closing to. It was the perfect casual, no stress yet very fun place for our large versatile group to come and go as they wanted and end the weekend at. And the guys in the group really enjoyed the beer selection. Much love to Randy and his bartenders for making us feel so welcome and taking care of us. We had a great time! Note that they don't serve "real" food - they have hot dogs and things like that. It changes. But we were also allowed to order pizzas which was perfect.
Review Source:LOVE this place! Â It's odd that it's in the back of a furniture store but it's so casual and inviting, plus they have boards games and a lovely back patio. Â They serve some great micro brews too which are a refreshing change after wine tasting all day. Â Local bands play at night on the weekends. Â A super fun place to chill when you're in Solvang :)
