Small town dive in a small town. Never had the food, but heard its really good. Pretty big place. one area for the sit down bar, and then another room with tables, dance floor, stage, pool tables, snack vending machine and jukebox.
Bathrooms are actually clean, which is  stranger than strange.
Bands on the weekends, Â sometimes a DJ,mixed crowd, and sometimes you can be the only people in the place.
All the bartenders are pretty good at their craft, but def. not a place to get a top shelf margarita or anything....
Security guy keeps an eye on things when it gets busy and crowded. The Red Eye is one of those places where you run into people you havent seen in years, or meet random strangers and get drunk with them.
I like this place. I order the chicken wings my wife gets a burger. It's been pretty good. The wings are crispy and tasty. The food does take maybe 10 to 15 minutes too long. But that's the price you pay for good food t at a good price. Â I don't drink but it seems like a good dive bar.

When I walked in with the FLAG6 posse we were greeted not by the bartender, but by the regulars at the bar. Â Amazing. Â
The place wasn't that full, about a handful of regulars and a few young bucks shooting pool. Â This place was plan B after JJ Landers closed up shop at 10p! Â Next time, we'll just head straight to Red Eye...if there is a next time haha.
So the drink prices are indeed low as low can go. Â The only place you'll find a cheaper cocktail would be in a casino, but the catch there is that you need to be gambling. Â There's no gambling at Red Eye, at least as far as I know. Â I'm sure you could rustle up some marks to shake down at the pool table, but those days are long behind me.
I like this place and I wouldn't mind spending a few nights here watching events unfold. Â CASH ONLY!
It's better than television...
I am a seasoned veteran of all that is the glory of dive bars. And this dive bar is glorious.
It's cash only--so it's a great excuse to have people buy you drinks...y'know, "I only have my card. Uhh, can you order me a vanilla press. Double." Thanks FLAG6!
Those in the know do not park in front. When we walked in, everyone knew we were first timers (all the cool kids park in the back lot). But we were greeted enthusiastically by all the regulars. This is the welcoming kind of place that you can really feel at home at, especially if you grew up in Lakeside.
And the men's bathroom was a lot cleaner than I expected...I really had to pee.
Pretty entertaining spot. You don't experience it every day.
Cheap drinks....live music... and a diverse crowd.
You have your young crowd playing pool... The old swingers dancing like crazy on the dance floor...the roaring cougars flirting with the young men..... and the older bearded people sitting at the bar.. How can this not be entertaining? The selection of beer is very limited but ......this place is wallet friendly and fun if you go with a couple of friends...you will definitely be entertained.
Not the first time I have been there. Stopped in for lunch, they have a limited lunch menu. I tried the tuna melt which was listed on the menu as tuna on toast or something like that. The tuna had waaaay too much mayonnaise for my liking. The beer was overpriced but the service was good.
Review Source:I could not think of a more quentissial Fallbrook bar. The mix of people is a great if your into people watching. You got Fallbrook locals mixed with young people, mixed with more random people. You know it's Fallbrook, it's all about randomness. Cheap (and stiff!) drinks served by the fastest working bartender I've ever seen (Steve I believe)
If you live in Fallbrook your nightlife choices are pretty limited. But if you want a stiff cheap drink and want to play some pool you know where to go. Anywhere but JP Purdylander (ugh.)
